Hi all I’m back again, despite knowing I was having a girl from 15 weeks she is here with no name. Feeling the pressure big time, all help appreciated.
Names

Emilia
Ada (DH favourite)
Lydia
Nina

Or Cora both love but could we really call our daughter Cora Kane?

Emilia Kane would be my favourite. Ada is lovely but Ada Kane doesn’t sound right to me.

Congratulations on your lovely new baby Flowers

StuckInTheMiddleWithJude · 26/08/2018 19:35

Cora Kane sounds great! Likes super hero, I love it.

From the list my favourite is Ada.

Congratulations!

Mayhemmumma · 26/08/2018 19:36

Ada is my fave but all the others are lovely too. Congrats

ParisNext · 26/08/2018 19:37

What's wrong with Cora Kane it's lovely!

PrincessConsuelaBannanaHammock · 26/08/2018 19:38

Emilia is my fave from your list. But I do agree with pp I love Cora Kane - totally sounds like a super hero! Smile

WooYa · 26/08/2018 19:38

I love Cora Kane!

PrincessConsuelaBannanaHammock · 26/08/2018 19:38

Oh and congratulations! Smile

Pythonesque · 26/08/2018 19:38

What about Cora short for Coralie?

Youaremysunshine4eva · 26/08/2018 19:39

I like Cora Kane!
Also like Nina

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 26/08/2018 19:39

Cora Kane is very cool. Not sure if this bothers you but I know of 4 baby Coras born this year, not sure if it’s on the up popularity wise.
I would go for Lydia. It’s beautiful.

ZigZagZebras · 26/08/2018 19:41

I love the name cora, only thing id bare in mind are cora and emilia/Amelia are a bit overused.

Lydia is a lovely slightly less heard name, though out of them all Cora's my favourite.

Try calling her your favourite name for a few hours, see if it feels right and if not try another.

champagneplanet · 26/08/2018 19:41

Cora Emilia Kane?

Congratulations, hope you and baby are doing well Thanks

bumpertobumper · 26/08/2018 19:42

There is no rush, you have six weeks to register her. Take your time until you are sure ( ignore angsty grannies - projecting here DS was 4 weeks before we settled on a name, tested a few out for a few days. His really suits him. Mil was twitchy)
Congratulations and enjoy the newborn snuggles

ElectricCandlelight · 26/08/2018 19:43

Cora Kane is an amazing name. I had the pressure too. The name "male infant" started to suit him. Whatever name you choose they will grow into it and you will love it

Strokethefurrywall · 26/08/2018 19:45

Cora Kane a million times better than your others!

And definitely not Ada. Reminds me of my 80 year old aunt and her sister is Bertha...

DemocracyDiesInDarkness · 26/08/2018 19:45

I love Nina. Nina Kane sounds fab!

Cute for a tiny baby, funky for a teenager, works on a adult too.

ReginaPhalange89 · 26/08/2018 19:45

They're all great , Cora Kane sounds great.... although if she gets NN co.... Co Kane.... Haha

They're all lovely though. Lydia us gorgeous

StripyDeckchair · 26/08/2018 19:54

I would choose Lydia.

Emilia is very popular
Ada Kane doesn't sound quite right - too many 'ah' vowel sounds
Nina is lovely but Nina Kane sounds like an anaesthetic to me if you say it quickly!
Cora - lovely. I get the worry about the alliteration but if you both really love it and it suits her then go for it.

She is your gorgeous daughter and whatever you choose you can trust yourself that it will be the right name for her.

HurricaneHalle · 26/08/2018 19:55

Cora Kane. Perfect.

CarolinePooter · 26/08/2018 19:58

Adele would go well, with Ada as nn?

Icklepup · 26/08/2018 19:59

Cora Kane

toothtruth · 26/08/2018 19:59

I love the name Cora!
But I think Lydia goes best with Kane.

thingywotsit · 26/08/2018 20:00

A vote for Cora here.

We embraced the superhero alter ego called DD Sadie. Sadie Lane.

Canshopwillshop · 26/08/2018 20:00
