Hi,

Does anyone have any suggestions for any sweet old fashioned name for a little girl?

We are trying to get some ideas for names for our baby girl due late November.

Thanks! 🤩❤️

I like Melissa as well, not sure if it counts as old-fashioned.

And my grandmother was named Zelphia; her nn was Zelphie. I always liked that and never heard it anywhere except my family. It appears several times in the family tree.

Pauline and Irene are hideous and not sweet in any way!

Get thee to the early Chalet School books for a good pre-war browse.

I'll offer Rosalie. Most of the two-syllable ones seem to be used round here for dogs (Nettie, Peggy, Nellie, Rosie, Ruby, Nancy, Daisy, Elsie...) which is kind of offputting.

I haven't seen the name Nancy yet, unless my eyes have deceived me. I really like the name Nancy to add to the lists above.
