I know it could sound ridiculous, but it occured to me a couple of weeks ago and for some reason it's really grown on me? I just love how natural and sensitive it sounds. Grin

If you want a herb name Basil is much better than Parsley.

QuinionsRainbow · 05/08/2018 23:01

In a word - don't!

redfairy · 05/08/2018 23:10

On what planet...? Give yourself a slap OP Wink

Verbena87 · 05/08/2018 23:14

its really grown on me

Am picturing pregnant woman sprouting garden herbs like some kind of earth goddess.

It’s not a good name for a human, but you know that already

ItscalledaVulva · 05/08/2018 23:49

I prefer parsnip

LuluJakey1 · 06/08/2018 00:03

What about Borage? Or Fenugreek?

LuluJakey1 · 06/08/2018 00:04

Or Garlic?

HonkyWonkWoman · 06/08/2018 00:05

Are you taking the piss OP?

Chocolatedeficitdisorder · 06/08/2018 00:14

Parsley? I've no Thyme for that.

MooFeatures · 06/08/2018 00:17

It's quite a nice name for a rabbit

Aurea · 06/08/2018 00:24

Chive?

PippilottaLongstocking · 06/08/2018 00:26

Basil and Sage are both lovely if you’re looking for herb names! Dill could possibly work too. Or if you’re looking for a similar sound perhaps Percy

wafflyversatile · 06/08/2018 00:38

Flat leaf or curly?

Girlking · 06/08/2018 00:41

Are you mad in the head? Please don’t do this to your child ... YABU

Sophronia · 06/08/2018 03:49

I know a female Tarragon

EmmaGrundyForPM · 06/08/2018 03:57

I think it sounds bonkers. I'm not sure why because some other herbs work aa names, particularly Basil and Rosemary.

I know a girl called Sorrel. She has an older sister called Honey.

BasiliskStare · 06/08/2018 04:09

I do think Thyme Lord is rather inspired.

But not sure anyone would truly think Parsley was a good name - just saying Grin - nothing to see here.

Though yes Rosemary - perfectly lovely and nice name.

Thanks all for reminding me of I'm a dog called Dill. Or possibly Hector a better name ( he may be a wise old Hector)

MyBeloved · 06/08/2018 04:14

Are you on glue?!
Just no.

MysteriesOfTheOrganism · 06/08/2018 07:12

Surely I'm not the only one for whom Fawlty Towers makes 'Basil' impossible as a name? It can only be said in a vicious hiss, Sybil-style. Shock

Bananamanfan · 06/08/2018 07:16

Ummm...NO!

BertrandRussell · 06/08/2018 07:21

Linda Snell is not an "uppity busy body"- how very dare you! I love Linda.

KERALA1 · 06/08/2018 07:24

Would you like to be called Parsley yourself op? Next occasion you meet new people try it out. There's your answer. Poor kid.

OohOohMrPeevly · 06/08/2018 07:27

Get a cat and call it Parsley - you still get to use the name but spare your child a lifetime of ridicule.

Dontbuymesocks · 06/08/2018 07:29

I adopted my DS so this is a genuine question....what is it about pregnancy that makes women go completely bonkers when choosing names? Is it just the hormones or something else?

No, OP. Just no.

Westfacing · 06/08/2018 07:32

Parsley and his brothers Flatleaf and Curly.
