I know it could sound ridiculous, but it occured to me a couple of weeks ago and for some reason it's really grown on me? I just love how natural and sensitive it sounds. Grin

Play it safe lol go for Basil.

I am going to go out on a limb and say I don't dislike Paisley for a boy or a girl.

Justgettothepoint · 05/08/2018 19:16

Parsley? Just noooo. Unless you are a lion living in The Herb Garden. Paisley maybe?

EdWinchester · 05/08/2018 19:16

We had a lionhead rabbit called Parsley.

Not for a human, that's silly.

Perhaps a bit vintage?

petalsinthegarden · 05/08/2018 19:17

Personally, I prefer Tumeric..

viques · 05/08/2018 19:18

I'd go for T'Arragon. With that spelling. Sounds sort of happening, with a twist and very youneeq.

Or Thyme. I think that could work well if he got elevated to the peerage, or became a high court judge, it has a dignity about it.

Parsley could only work if you come from a long illustrious line of clowns.

iklboo · 05/08/2018 19:18

You might just about get away with Sorrel but Parsley? It's not a name I'd choose.

LunchBoxPolice · 05/08/2018 19:21

remove the "pars" and it's ok if you use Lee...

MikeUniformMike · 05/08/2018 19:22

Sage and Bay are currently quite trendy.
Basil and Rosemary are classic.
Sorrel, Juniper, Tansy, Cassia and Laurel get mentioned on here quite often.
Myrtle, Cicely, Angelica and Nigella are names. Alexanders is a herb.
I think I'd go with Tarragon.

SmilingButClueless · 05/08/2018 19:23

How about Knobweed or Nipplewort?

Both are as sensible as Parsley...

tenbob · 05/08/2018 19:25

Am I imagining this or is the daughter of the uppity busy body in The Archers called Parsley?

tenbob · 05/08/2018 19:25

I've just googled - she is called Coriander!

olderthanyouthink · 05/08/2018 19:26

What mike said (except for tarragon, reminds me of an episode of Hannah Montana)

sagasleathertrousers · 05/08/2018 19:27

GrinGrin

BonnieF · 05/08/2018 19:28

I wouldn’t call a rabbit Parsley, never mind a human being.

MikeUniformMike · 05/08/2018 19:28

Lynda Snell's stepdaughter is called Coriander. Her sister is called Leonie and their mother is called Bobo.

daisypond · 05/08/2018 19:28

Basil is better.
I know a male Sorrel, but I think it's better for a girl.
Dill? Maybe, just about.
Valerian?

InterestingWasabi0 · 05/08/2018 19:30

See I told you!

Paisley is brilliant but he would need a sister called Anfield.

TerfsUp · 05/08/2018 19:32

If he has a sister you could name her Paprika or Chili or something equally youneek.

MikeUniformMike · 05/08/2018 19:33

Sorry Saffron, I forgot you.

CircleofWillis · 05/08/2018 19:33

Only if you have plenty of cash stowed away for therapy in the coming years.

willyloman · 05/08/2018 19:35

But would it be sage to use it? Maybe try Rosemary next thyme...

Wizzwazzwas · 05/08/2018 19:36

Jamie, Jules... is that you...?

SirGawain · 05/08/2018 19:36

Child cruelty! If you like the herb theme how about 'Catnip'.
