My other half has suggested Lexton for a boys name.
Initially i was a stern NO... but its growing on me and i'm wondering what others think. I knew a lovely gentleman called Lexton, so i think that's where he got it from and i think that's why its growing on me.

I've never heard the name before which makes me a bit nervous over it (personally don't like the really unusual names) but I do actually really like it!

MarthasGinYard · 30/07/2018 11:16

Never heard of it

Reminds me of Sexton digging graves

Squ1ggle · 30/07/2018 11:43

I've also never heard of it. If I just saw it written down with no context I would assume it was a place rather than a name tbh

HeyDolly · 30/07/2018 12:23

Never heard of it and not keen. Another who would assume it was a place name. I have met a very cool little boy called Lincoln though which is a name I would’ve disliked but now I’ve met him I think it’s fab and really suits him.

LeeMiller · 30/07/2018 13:34

It sounds like place name or a company name. Lex is nicer (reminds me a bit of Superman but I also know a Dutch one).

commonarewe · 30/07/2018 13:36

Was Balonz already taken?

TheGoldenWolfFleece · 30/07/2018 13:38

I prefer lawson.

LoveInTokyo · 30/07/2018 13:38

I don't like it.

flumpybear · 30/07/2018 13:39

Is it made up! Doesn't flow well IMO

LastNightsMakeUp · 30/07/2018 13:44

I've never heard it as a name, only a place in Australia or as a surname. What does it mean?

I'm not overly fond of it. I'd go back and ask yourself why your immediate response was a 'firm no.'

We can't all like the same names though 🤷‍♀️

CaoNiMa · 30/07/2018 14:00

The sound of "xt" i.e. "ckst" sounds jarring and weirdly slimy.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 30/07/2018 14:02

Sorry I don't care for it. Looks made up to me.

MikeUniformMike · 30/07/2018 14:40

Not keen. Dexter has that sound.
How about Leighton?

Cosmoa · 30/07/2018 15:02

All names are made up people!!!

MangoApplePear · 30/07/2018 15:04

Terrible

SilverySurfer · 30/07/2018 15:55

Not nice, sorry.

SlowlyShrinking · 30/07/2018 16:02

Is superman’s arch enemy called lexton?

IHaveBrilloHair · 30/07/2018 16:03

Terrible.

NonaGrey · 30/07/2018 16:04

I don’t think it runs off the tongue very well.

It does also sound like a place name.

sexnotgender · 30/07/2018 16:04

Really not a fan. Sounds like a place name.

ErrantBakedBean · 30/07/2018 17:30

I'm all for not-heard-before names. Though my first thought with this one was that maybe you liked the nn Lex and had come up with a longer version just to allow you to use it! Sorry...

Kingkiller · 30/07/2018 17:32

Awful, sorry. Sounds like either a model of car or a made-up name for a cartoon super-sleuth. Grin

NotAgainYoda · 30/07/2018 17:40

Never heard of it

Sounds like a surname, or a town.

Therefore trying a bit hard to be unique, and doesn't sound very nice either

Sorry

NotAgainYoda · 30/07/2018 17:41

I do understand you liking it because of someone you like, though.

worstmotherintheworld · 30/07/2018 17:42

Similar vibe to Jaxon. Just horrible.
