Yes I like retro unfashionable names!
These three are on our list. What do you think?

Not Deborah unless you are religious, I don’t think it’s due a comeback yet.

The other two are OK. If I had to choose I’d take Angela.

RedDwarves · 29/07/2018 22:17

The only one which I remotely like - and I still don't like - is Angela.

The other two are dire.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 29/07/2018 22:18

Deborah is ok but Michelle and Angela are dreadful.
If you want retro pick Jean.

DickensianHysteric · 29/07/2018 22:19

Michelle is nice, but I'm not keen on the other two.

haribosmarties · 29/07/2018 22:25

I like Deborah and Angela purely because of the retro songs!
Deborah by T Rex
Angie by the Rolling Stones!

Michelle might be the best however because it can be shortened to trendier sounding things like Shell or Elle or Shelly

PatchworkElmer · 29/07/2018 22:26

I don’t like Michelle. At all.

Deborah is lovely.

HairyToity · 29/07/2018 22:27

Love love love Angela. I also like nickname Angie.

DramaAlpaca · 29/07/2018 22:29

I really like Deborah. I don't like Debbie though.

Angela is OK too, but I don't like Michelle. It's the most dated of the three.

buttercup54321 · 29/07/2018 22:29

I like Michelle best.

Don't like the bore sound in Deborah and don't like Angela much either.

Deborah, because I quite like Debbie. Don't like the others at all.

YaLoVeras · 29/07/2018 22:34

I like Shelly, Angel, Jane, Belinda, Susan, Gillian, Melanie.
Not Anita or Deborah tho.

Chl80 · 29/07/2018 22:34

I love Barbara and Pamela too but I know of a few tots already with these names

There isn't a 'bore' sound in Deborah? It's Deb-ruh, isn't it? I've never met a De-bore-uh.

I teach a 10 year old Deborah. I find it quite refreshing and quite like it. Not massively keen though. Same with Angela. I'm really not keen on Michelle.

Chl80 · 29/07/2018 22:37

I love the nicknames Shelly, Debi and Angie, so not opposed to them being shortened.

Someone suggested Jackie on a thread a few days ago, loved it.
Also love Susan/Susie and Stevie.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 29/07/2018 22:46

Crikey some truly hideous suggestions Shock

IAmtheOompahLoompah · 29/07/2018 22:49
