Brother for Rumer and Sage

Expecting my third and we’ve settled on a girl’s name but just can’t think of anything for a boy.
My daughter was Rumer and my son is Sage. I like unusual names that aren’t top 500 or so

So far I like Job (DH won’t go for it and slated on here)
We both liked Atlas but we know one so probably not
We do like Quinn but it is popular. Also Pip but not sure about Philip.

Ideas would be welcome. Unisex names a bonus.

Ooh Atlas, Quinn, and Pip are all lovely. Pip could be short for Pippin (or Peregrine a la lord of the rings)

Oswiu. It doesn’t particularly go with the other names but I always pitch it and no one ever bites. It’s totally unusual these days.

Rumer, Sage and Pip is a great combo. Sounds like a kid's book.

Polly2345 · 24/07/2018 07:00

We do like Quinn but it is popular

I don't get this. If you like it use it, if you don't like it don't use it. What does it matter whether it's popular or not?

Thanks. It only matters if it’s popular because I’m ridiculously precious about that. Meeting an Atlas at baby group put me completely off the name (clearly a good thing in some people’s view!) but Quinn is still the front runner anyway

I like Tao, Bodhi, Willow (bit different for a boy and I like unisex names a lot) so definitely some to add to the list. I like Quentin but DH hates it so sadly not.

Love Linus and Kit.

Fair enough re not wanting it to be popular. You just might find that someone uses the same name as you after you anyway.

sonnyboo · 24/07/2018 08:56

Love Quinn and Linus! They go well with your other names too.

Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme

It was a song we always sung at school;

I'm only thinking that because my dog when I was younger had 4 puppies and that's what we called them. My Dad was advertising them to be sold but we loved them so much we kept them all.

Fab choices tho I like willow for a girl and Atticus or Jude for a boy
