Jasper or Rufus?

Baby boy was born 3 days ago and after quite a lot of wrangling, we’ve managed to get the list down to two names.
We already have a son called Sebastian.
I’m aware many will think of these names as dog/cat/, that’s fine, had he been a girl I would have chosen Tabitha!

Congratulations on your new baby.

Sebastian is a gorgeous name for your first DS.
I would think a longer name would go better with it... maybe Alexander?

Between the two I would go for Jasper

Both gorgeous though! Rufus goes better with Sebastian.

DS 2 is Rufus and DS3 was Jasper for 2 days until we decided it didn't suit him. So I'm a fan of both (and I've never met a dog called Rufus FWIW!) although there are now 3 in school.....

Bot lovely names. I prefer Rufus but only very slightly and both go with Sebastian. Congratulations!

Alexander is a great name, but is fil’s name.

I love Rufus.

It was vetoed by DH as my DS's name but it's on my dog name list should we get another hound (probably not helpful!)

My DD shares her name with a few cats we know too!

I like both names. I think Rufus is a nicer name, just because it's a little less popular. Jasper is good too though, and both names go with Sebastian. However I think Rufus and Sebastian sounds really cool!
