Kate! Great name, very versatile, suits lots of different types of people.

Hannah is also fine - just prefer Kate!

I prefer Kate, it's classic and strong. Also far prettier nickname opportunities (Katie, Kat, Kitty) than Hannah.

I'm a Hannah and I don't love it.

There are no nice shortenings (I can't stand Han, makes me think of Ham).

They're OK, but I find them a bit dull. I prefer the longer forms for Kate and I prefer Anna to Hannah. Catherine/Katharine (other forms are available) and Anna are really nice.

Actually I know 2 sisters called Hannah and Kate. Wait until you meet her and decide which one suits her best. I prefer Anna to Hannah if that helps.

I know sisters with these names. I fractionally prefer Kate, because Hannah comes out as Annuh in the local accent.

Love Hannah but also like Kate - lot (I would personally use Catherine and have Kate as a nickname).
