I like Robin best. Both are great. But we were discussing Robin yesterday, coincidentally, and Dd thought it was a girl's name. Influenced by How I met your mother.

Robert could be Bertie (DS2's name). I like both.

My Dad is Robert nn Robin so have both!

Robert. Robin has too much potential to be thought of as a girl's name or for teasing that an introverted kid might find difficult. And as PP say, you can abbreviate it to Robin and he can drop that if he doesn't like it when he's older.

Much prefer Robin, not a fan of Robert at all personally!

Robyn (usually spelt with a y) is a girl's name in the US.
It's so twee.
I'd have to say Robert but it's not great either TBH. Although Bobby/Rob are fine...

I prefer Robert but I dont really like either to be honest.

Definitely Robert which is lovely and classic. Robin/Robyn is too popular for girls these days.

I thought Robin tended to be Scottish. BIL is Robin, and afaik has not had any problems with the name.
