Baby names that DH might like

So me and DH have just discovered we are having a girl, we have also discovered that we like very few of the same names.

I like names that are probably a bit more uncommon. I love Persephone, Seraphina, Theodora etc. He was pretty horrified when I made these suggestions and decided he didn’t like ‘long’ names, I wouldn’t exactly class them as long.

The only names we can agree on so far are Iris, Ivy and Hazel. Can anyone suggest anything else similar he may like?

He also vetoed Eloise and IMO unhelpfully suggested Willow and Piper which no offence intended but I find awful.

The annoying thing is before we found out we started with boys names and we were pretty much in agreement on all names had a perfect one picked.

Thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to help.

Thanks for all the quick replies, I’ve had no luck with any I’m afraid and really like and already mentioned most of them. It seems I have a very picky DH.

We both do love Violet but unfortunately so much that we wasted it on the cat...

The boy name we had settled on was Felix, we also shortlisted Rex and Axel.

He quite likes Ida and Ada and when I said Georgina he said that he did like Georgie so we may be getting somewhere.

tbh, from your list, I think it is you that has rather "out there" taste, and it isn't your dh that is the awkward one Wink

Roxanna
Irisis
Arianna
Eirlys
Amara
Helena

TruffleShuffles · 29/06/2018 18:27

Oh I agree I’m definitely the one who goes for more out there names, I think it comes from having by far the most common name at my school and hating it. DH seems to go for the names he hears often which are usually common/popular ones which I’m trying to avoid.

Someone mentioned Alba and it’s my husbands favourite name but I just can’t bring myself to like it.
