Baby names

What are the most overused baby names you know at the moment?

Trying to decide on a name for DC2 at the moment and would like something that won't seem "dated" in so many years to come.

There's a few names I keep hearing pop up at baby groups etc that feel a bit "faddy" and "of the moment" and would like to avoid that if possible. Hoping to avoid a name that becomes the Tracey, Sharon, David or Gary etc of this generation.

I've noticed a lot of names hyphenated with Rose, (which is an absolutely beautiful name) but kind of has the shine taken off it when its so overused in various combinations.

What names make you think "oh, not another one!?"

Alfie
Oscar
Oliver

Jack seems to be used a lot but it's a timeless name imo, won't date.

Eva. People think theyre being original by calling them eva-may eva-rose etc but it always gets shortened to eva. With 2 close friends i often find myself saying "the other eva".. i dont mean it rude.

It seems to vary so much from area to area OP (based on what I’ve read on here)
Some of the names people have posted above are not that popular where I live.

Popular girls names - Evie, Amelia, Isla
Popular Boys names - Leo, Harry

Not many Henry’s or Florence’s here. All the Alfie’s and Archie’s (a few of each) I know live in London.

For boys it'll be surname names and the diminutives (Alfie etc).
For girls, the Maes and Mays and Millies.

In response to an earlier PP, I think that amelia means congenital absence of a limb. Like you would find after thalidomide damage. If I have remembered it right?
