Found out we’re having a girl, can I ask your opinions on...
Verity
Waverley
Kayla

Verity ( love this)

My dog was called Kaila ( much beloved) so I can't get past that, even though I like the name!

Waverley - I don't like at all ( sorry)

HeyDolly · 08/06/2018 21:01

I really like Verity. I really don’t like the other two.

starsandstuff · 08/06/2018 21:03

Verity, out of the 3.

Ivegotfamilyandidrinkcupsoftea · 08/06/2018 21:06

Verity

MrsCD67 · 08/06/2018 21:06

Verity is ok
The others are horrible

MadameJosephine · 08/06/2018 21:07

Verity, beautiful name

daisypond · 08/06/2018 21:14

Verity.

tootruetoyou · 08/06/2018 21:20

I was brought up in Edinburgh so cannot get beyond Waverley Station/Sir Walter Scott association.

Verity sounds too like ferret or something ratty.

Why not something more classic? I think we sometimes overthink names.

Bubblesoup · 08/06/2018 21:37

I really dont like Waverley, sorry. Verity is the best of the three. Kayla is nice the more i think about it.

What about
Harper
Avery
Melody
Tabitha

Proudmummy2MA · 08/06/2018 21:40

Verity is a lovely name. I'm not keen on the other two though I'm afraid. Waverley makes me think of the train station.

DramaAlpaca · 08/06/2018 21:54

Verity is the nicest, Kayla at a push.

Waverley - just no.

SmilingButClueless · 08/06/2018 21:57

I like Kayla but it depends on your accent - I don’t like it if it is pronounced to rhyme with Tyler.

Verity is also nice and probably the safest choice.

Waverley is a train station.

robotcartrainhat · 08/06/2018 21:58

Love Verity!

redmini4 · 08/06/2018 22:06

Kayla

witherwings · 08/06/2018 22:10

Verity is by far the nicest name.
Waverley is a suburb in Sydney so a bit odd to me.

TheLastMermaid · 08/06/2018 22:18

Isn't Waverley an area of Liverpool (or do I mean Wavertree?) ? It also sounds like a passenger ferry. Sorry OP, it doesn't sound like a lovely girl's name to me.

Verity's beautiful - it was on our shortlist 6 years ago - and I still love it but are you aware that it's become very popular now?

RedDwarves · 08/06/2018 22:19

Verity is fine. I don't love it, but it's inoffensive and perfectly alright.

Strongly dislike the other two.

RedDwarves · 08/06/2018 22:19

Also, yes, to me, Waverley is a suburb of Sydney (and a train station).

RavenWings · 08/06/2018 22:20

Verity - lovely
Waverley - Wizards of Waverley Place, used to be a kids programme. Can't get behind this one, it's ridiculous.
Kayla - fine. Not as nice as Verity.

Jj2431 · 08/06/2018 23:16

Verity- was supposed to be my name. I'd have hated my name if my parents had gone for it.

Waverley- don't get it.

Kayla- like it. Wouldn't to mad but it's best one.

LadyGAgain · 08/06/2018 23:18

If this is the 3 then Kayla. Verity is a flitty rodent (sorry) and Waverley is a place name that isn't at all pretty as a girls name. Congrats on having a daughter. Very hard work but worth every minute!!

AnElderlyLadyOfMediumHeight · 08/06/2018 23:18

What eclectic tastes you have!

Verity is lovely.
Kayla is dreadful.
Waverley isn't a name for a child. It's a place.

JaretsGirlfren · 08/06/2018 23:23

I used to work with a Verity, everyone called her ‘Variety’ Confused

What about Michaela with the nickname Kayla?

TroubledLichen · 08/06/2018 23:25

Verity I don’t personally like but it’s a perfectly acceptable name.
Waverley is not a name it’s a train station/place/street name/kid’s tv show.
Kayla is marginally better than Waverley but it also sounds like you made it up.

Sophronia · 08/06/2018 23:31

Verity
