It's a girl!

Hello...first post and first baby and today we discovered we're going to have a girl. We're very excited but arguing already about names. He likes short and snappy and I like old and quirky. So far we've not found any common ground. Can you please help?

I begged DP to let me call this baby Astrid but I had to compromise on it being middle name.

Or she was nearly Elsie or Mabel

I love Zelda but he says witch! Sorry...not keen on the others. My favourite name is Polly but that's been shot down! His is Nell but it's unfinished to me and a work colleague has just had a granddaughter called Nelly which I personally think is awful. Sorry to Nell mums and sorry for being picky.

If you don't like Nell on its own, you could go for Eleanor or Helen.

I know a few Nell’s they are Helena, Ellen and Penelope and one just Nell.

Georgina isn’t short and snappy but it can be shortened in so many ways, my bf Georgina is a Gigi.

My daughter is called Arin middle name Amy.
My DH hated it at first I loved the name Erin so much but I had heard quite abit the name Erin while I was pregnant. From there Arin popped up and it stuck.. Erin may suit you both short snappy I personally think it’s quirky! Good luck x
