I'm stuck. My beautiful baby girl was born on Sunday and we have no name! We have a shortlist but I'm not sure if any really suit her... please help!
We like the idea of having a name with different nicknames so that if it doesn't suit her she can use one of those (can you tell we're indecisive!).
Also don't want anything too cute and babyish as we want it to sound good when she's older too...
Roseanna (Rose/Rosie)
Jennifer (Jen/Jenny)
Emma
Katherine nn Kate/Katie (dS1 has a name beginning with a K so not sure if it's too much)
Annabelle (Anna/Annie)

Still no name (girl)

I like Katherine and Annabelle. If you think the k might be too much how about Catherine with a c?

Jj2431 · 30/05/2018 09:36

All names on your shortlist are lovely. I particularly like Roseanne and Katherine. For some reason I thought you had Annabelle on your list as when I clicked the photo that is the name that came to mind for her. Out of your chosen names I'd go with Roseanna or Katherine

Congrats x

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 30/05/2018 09:36

Congratulations. She's fab.
I know it's not on your list but she has the name Amy written all over.

Jj2431 · 30/05/2018 09:36

Oh there is an Annabelle. Baby brain sorry. Changed my mind. She's an Annabelle to me.

Merrz · 30/05/2018 09:37

Aww Congratulations, she's gorgeous! I think Jennifer but I like all your names

AndCallMeNancy · 30/05/2018 09:37

What a sweet baby! I like the idea of Roseanne. She could be a Rose or an Annie (two of my fave names!)

MrsMrsMrsMrs · 30/05/2018 09:38

Amelia - Millie
Amelie - Millie
Evangeline - Evie
Annabelle - Annie/Belle
Madeleine - Maddie
Clementine - Clemmie
Elisabeth - Eliza, Libby, Betty, etc
So many more...
Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl x

JaretsGirlfren · 30/05/2018 09:39

Oh she’s a little beauty! Congrats op Flowers from your list I like Jennifer but the first name I thought of when I saw her was Matilda, lots of nicknames there too ( Mattie, Tilly, Tilda etc)

Yogeybear89 · 30/05/2018 09:41

My daughter is called Honour, which is an old name.
I do think she would suit Annabelle or Alice even though it not on there.
So cute btw congratulations

Flamingosnbears · 30/05/2018 09:45

How about Sunday?...

MikeUniformMike · 30/05/2018 10:13

Congratulations!
Roseanna (Rose/Rosie) - prefer Rosanna.
Jennifer (Jen/Jenny)
Emma - classic
Katherine nn Kate/Katie (dS1 has a name beginning with a K so not sure if it's too much) - lovely
Annabelle (Anna/Annie - prefer Annabel

All the names are fine. I would go with Emma, as it's the one that's not being shortened. (It will though but Em is ok)

Peachbubble · 30/05/2018 10:15

She's gorgeous, congratulations!

From your list, I think she suits Annabelle or Roseanna. How about Charlotte or Lucy?

Cosmoa · 30/05/2018 10:28

Annabelle is lovely!

RubertRoo · 30/05/2018 10:29

Oh beautiful. I love Roseanne. She looks like a Rosie

sabinaapplecross · 30/05/2018 10:31

A beautiful little girl... congratulations
How about Elena or Ellen / Ellie, or Josephine / Josie
Are there any lovely family names such as your grandmothers/aunts or great grandmothers/aunts (from both sides) that could give you inspiration.

Sophronia · 30/05/2018 10:31

I love Katherine and Jennifer. Rosanna spelled this way is nice too. Congrats!

catalinablue · 30/05/2018 11:01

She's so gorgeous, congrats OP!

I think that she definitely looks like an Annie (Annabelle) or Jenny (Jennifer). Jennifer would be a nice pick as it is not so popular nowadays, but still a beautiful name. Jenny is such a cute nn too. :)

userabcname · 30/05/2018 11:02

Oh she looks like an Annabelle to me! She is beautiful! Congratulations OP!

mzsink · 30/05/2018 11:06

5BlueHydrangea · 30/05/2018 11:23

Dd thinks she looks like Isabelle,
I like Elizabeth or Josephine
Most names can end up with nicknames no matter how long or short they are.
She's gorgeous

Jammiebammie · 30/05/2018 11:27

Congratulations, so adorable!

I love the name Florence/Florrie - but when I opened up the pic I thought she looked like a Zoe! Different to what you like though lol.

MaverickSnoopy · 30/05/2018 11:29

I must say as soon as I opened the thread and before I read your post, I thought she looked like a Rose.

MrsMrsMrsMrs · 30/05/2018 11:33

Emmeline - Emme, Emma, Emmy is also nice

user1499786242 · 30/05/2018 11:35
