I'm stuck. My beautiful baby girl was born on Sunday and we have no name! We have a shortlist but I'm not sure if any really suit her... please help!
We like the idea of having a name with different nicknames so that if it doesn't suit her she can use one of those (can you tell we're indecisive!).
Also don't want anything too cute and babyish as we want it to sound good when she's older too...
Roseanna (Rose/Rosie)
Jennifer (Jen/Jenny)
Emma
Katherine nn Kate/Katie (dS1 has a name beginning with a K so not sure if it's too much)
Annabelle (Anna/Annie)

Still no name (girl)

Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby!

Roseanna - nice
Jennifer - lovely
Emma - lovely
Katherine - lovely
Annabelle - nice

StripyDeckchair · 30/05/2018 11:48

I think she is an Annabel (or Annabelle) Rose (or Rosamund).

Toyboysrus · 30/05/2018 11:57

I also thought Rose when I saw the photo but hadn't read your possible names yet but then I love flower names. I also love sleepsuits that are slightly too big so little tiny fingers are just poking out of the sleeves, your DD is adorable!

PurplePimplePin · 30/05/2018 12:03

Jennifer

KitXi · 30/05/2018 12:12

What a beautiful baby! My ovaries twanged a bit there! She looks like an Annabelle or Jennifer to me.

coldcoldstar · 30/05/2018 12:16

Annabelle - what a lovely name! Beautiful baby, congrats!

foxtiger · 30/05/2018 14:50

What a beautiful little girl! I quite like all the names on your list, but I think Roseanna and Jennifer might suit her best - only I think the first of those is more often spelt Rosanna, so I'd probably spell it that way if only to avoid people getting it wrong all the time!

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 30/05/2018 14:56

She looks like a Katherine to me, but Emmeline is also lovely, as is Caroline.

AnyaMoondial · 30/05/2018 14:59

Congratulations! She is perfect! Jennifer is a fab name. Jenny is cute on a little one and Jen is v cool for when she is a teen Smile

FlatTopVera · 30/05/2018 15:05

I think she’s a Rosie or a Susie. Susanna or Rosanna.

NameChangedForThisQ · 30/05/2018 15:12

She looks like an Annabel to me

Marcipex · 30/05/2018 15:16

A pp said Sunday.
Sunday Rose is lovely. So is Annabel.

JumpingFrogs · 30/05/2018 15:52

I have a Rosanna, now all grown up. The name has served her well. When she was little a few relatives called her Rosie but she prefers Rosanna. I would agree with previous posters that the spelling without the "e" is simpler and less likely that people will get it wrong (though we've had a few few odd spellings over the years!). I think its a name that suits a girl or woman of any age, and is a little unusual without beung too "out there". In two decades we have only met 3 others - (two Rosannas and one Roseanna). Having said that I like think all the names on your shortlist are lovely.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 30/05/2018 16:05

Bubble, please forgive me, I meant to say what a totally adorable little peach she is ! 🌺🌺🌺 Congratulations.

Babbaganoush · 30/05/2018 16:10

Congratulations! She's lovely Smile

To me she looks like an Annabelle or an Amelia.

diddl · 30/05/2018 16:12

Genevieve?

blinkineckmum · 30/05/2018 19:17

She looks a lot like a Rosanna.

DuchyDuke · 30/05/2018 19:19

Amelia (Millie / Amy) is a good name for a girl.

Mollie85 · 30/05/2018 19:44

From your list I love Jennifer, but she looks like a Lucy to me Bear
Congrats OP Flowers

moomoo85 · 30/05/2018 20:11

Emma is lovely

limitedscreentime · 30/05/2018 20:17

Rosanna is fab but becoming way more popular (and be prepared for a life time of Roseanne/roseAnna as this thread already proves 🙄).

ShopingForStrawberries · 30/05/2018 20:35

I'm voting Roseanne

MemorylikeDory · 30/05/2018 21:03

I think she looks like a Harriet nn Hattie. Not helpful I know when it's not on your original list Smile.

On another note it took me 10 days to decide on a name for my DD and I must have tried out at least 3 names but none of them felt right for her. Don't rush to pick a name it will come to you. The name we picked wasn't even on our shortlist.

Congratulations and enjoy this special time.

BevBrook · 30/05/2018 21:06

Another one who thought she looked a Rose before seeing your names! Or maybe Anna Rose.

adviceonthepox · 30/05/2018 21:09

I like Annabelle and Emma out of your list but I also love
Evelyn (Evie)
Elizabeth (liz, Beth, lizzy)
Isabelle (Izzy, belle, )
Penelope (penny, lops)
