Are we close yet @diddl?!

diddl · 03/10/2018 18:44

Ooh hello, sorry this keeps dropping down "threads I'm watching" & I keep missing it.

No one has it yet.

finallychangedmyusername · 03/10/2018 19:46

I fear we may need yet another clue please @diddl.... I'm quite stumped!

LadyGAgain · 03/10/2018 22:09

I'm stumped too!

diddl · 04/10/2018 07:59

Not sure about another clue-I'll have to think!

But the easiest is to think of another word for happy!

DuggeeHugs · 04/10/2018 08:23

Gaye?

OP posts:
diddl · 04/10/2018 08:42

That's more on track although it's a shortening of the name.

DuggeeHugs · 04/10/2018 09:16

Gayle?

OP posts:
diddl · 04/10/2018 09:19

Not quite!

DuggeeHugs · 04/10/2018 09:24

Rats. I was thinking of Gail and Hail!

Gaynor?

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 04/10/2018 12:48

Abigail?

finallychangedmyusername · 04/10/2018 13:40

Or Gabrielle/Gabriella?

LadyGAgain · 05/10/2018 06:21

Joy/ce?

finallychangedmyusername · 06/10/2018 10:50

Marietta/Mariella?

finallychangedmyusername · 06/10/2018 19:28

Gloria?

diddl · 07/10/2018 09:58

Not yet, although Gloria starts with the right 2 letters!

finallychangedmyusername · 07/10/2018 09:59

Waiting with baited breath @diddl, I'm so optimistic about Gloria! (I can't get Ding Ding Merrily on High out of my head now) Grin

finallychangedmyusername · 07/10/2018 10:00

Ah cross post!

finallychangedmyusername · 07/10/2018 10:01

Gladys?

diddl · 07/10/2018 13:40

Yes!!-Gladys.

I thought it would be so easy.

Happy-glad
flower ref-gladiolus
three notes-ref to Gladys Pugh on Hi Di Hi.

finallychangedmyusername · 07/10/2018 14:09

Ah ha! I was thinking of Gladys Knight and her Pips as musical notes Grin. Great clues.

Next one below - not sure if this is very easy or very taxing! Guess I'll have to wait and see:

Her name derives from the same place as the man she has eaten. You'd have to pass on the bypass though to complete her.

finallychangedmyusername · 07/10/2018 14:13

Meant to add (since I think there are only a few of us playing) - welcome newcomers! Feel free to join in! Guess away at the name being described (in my post above). If you guess correctly then you get to describe the next name.

LadyGAgain · 07/10/2018 20:28

Well done! And oooh a new clue. Exciting! Will give it some thought and be back....!!
