There must be a name I like

Seriously... there must be a name I like, right? Looking for a boys name, can’t find any that I like. How hard can it be? I would love something not too traditional and with a nice meaning - anything nature or sea inspired is a bonus but to be honest, I just want one that I love! Names that I like but can’t use for one reason or another... Felix, Jasper, Cillian, Cole. I quite like Sterling but don’t love it. Help!!!

Wow this is so helpful! Thank you everyone. I can’t keep up with you all but here is where I’m at:

I love Eben (but I feel we should use a full name and I don’t like ebeneezer)

I like Orion (different but hopefully not too out there)

I like Acer and we loved Ace but thought it was too crazy so maybe Acer is less crazy!

Oisín is pronouned USHeen (or OSHeen). It's a lovely Irish name, probably my favourite Irish boy's name.

Other Irish boys names:
Oran
Donal
Senan
Tadgh (prounced like the first syllable of tiger)
Finn (or Fionn)

Was going to suggest Emmet but I think Emmet Cullen was one of the characters in Twilight!

TatianaLarina · 20/05/2018 22:32

Or there’s the Scottish version Ossian, which is pronounced more like Oshan.

NC4Now · 20/05/2018 22:39

What about Orson?

LadyPug · 20/05/2018 22:43

There are some lovely ones here, thanks guys! I like all the ‘O’ ones! Ha ha yes I can’t use Emmet!

I'm quite boring with boys names, but I really like PP suggestion of Eldon! Just stood out amongst them all 🙂

Orson sounds pretty cool too x
