Osbourne

MinaPaws · 18/05/2018 12:23

Free bibles in hotel rooms.

Apart from that... it's OK but I don't love it. I think the 'idee' bit puts me off, sounds like idiot.

Shmithecat · 18/05/2018 12:25

I absolutely love it. Beautiful name.

thetriangleisarealinstrument · 18/05/2018 12:26

Love this name. Have a friend called that and he is lovely.

TenThousandSpoons · 18/05/2018 12:26

Bibles

Violetparis · 18/05/2018 12:30

George Osborne

BitOutOfPractice · 18/05/2018 12:31

George Osbourne

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Or Giddyup. It's not a bad name but wouldn't be crazy about it.

ApocalypseNowt · 18/05/2018 12:32

I think of the first series of Criminal Minds. I like it.

Joeybee · 18/05/2018 15:23

First thought are the bibles in hotel rooms.
However I like Gideon, it's different but not weird. I think you could get Gus as a nickname too, which helps the name be a bit less clunky.

user1498549192 · 18/05/2018 15:50

Osborne. Don't do it.

PurpleTraitor · 18/05/2018 15:51

Bibles.

Also, for some reason, the word Hideous.

AllyMcBeagle · 18/05/2018 15:53
  1. Osbourne.
  1. Those cheesy 'Crossfire' 50 Shades of Grey knock-off books by Sylvia Day.
  1. Bibles.

I wouldn't do it. I think they'd get teased unless they are going to private school.

MikeUniformMike · 18/05/2018 16:38

Ask Helen Archer or in Radio Addicts.

Topseyt · 18/05/2018 17:20

Bibles, especially in hotel rooms.

Bible bashers, so for that reason I wouldn't.

bridgetreilly · 18/05/2018 17:22

I'm a Christian and I don't mind the biblical connotations. I still don't really like it as a name. I've never met a Gideon I've liked, tbh.

trueblueari · 19/05/2018 19:53

I've seen George Osborne called "Gidiot" countless times so I'd be hesitant to use it. Also the fact he legally changed his name at all would put me off. I actually think it's quite nice though

ragged · 19/05/2018 19:55

All the ones I know of don't use it! Switch to middle name instead. Make of that what you will.

missmouse101 · 19/05/2018 20:00

Giddy giddy giddy, yuk. What about Myles?

Rainatnight · 19/05/2018 20:00

Osborne

Pippylou · 19/05/2018 20:02

Used to love it but one-eyed loon comes to mind now, Osborne.

Standardpubquizname · 19/05/2018 21:00

Love it! Love the story in the Bible and the story of the bibles. Strong and reasonably easy to say/spell without being too common, a fab name

whymewhyme · 20/05/2018 06:42

I love it however I think you need to be really upper class to pull it off

buttercup54321 · 20/05/2018 19:02

Bible.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 20/05/2018 19:23

Osbourne.
It means the destroyer. Certainly the right name for you know who.
