Is-old-uh . Love the name, was our top choice for a girl. Both ways of saying it are acceptable, so you/ child may find yourself always confirming the one you’ve chosen.

iklboo · 17/05/2018 16:41

Iz-OLD-uh

Ohyesiam · 17/05/2018 16:41

Is old duh, but the duh is gentle and fading,

rosamore · 17/05/2018 16:41

Second one

ladybirdsaredotty · 17/05/2018 16:50

The only one I know pronounces it Is-old

GinIsIn · 17/05/2018 16:54

Is-old. It was originally spelled Iseult so there isn’t an eh or uh sound at the end to my mind.

bridgetreilly · 17/05/2018 17:04

Three syllables, definitely.

MrsCD67 · 17/05/2018 18:52

Ee-sold

Bubblysqueak · 17/05/2018 18:53

is-old-eh

TatianaLarina · 17/05/2018 19:01

I don’t know why people like the German version - the original Celtic version - Iseult or Yseult is much nicer.

MikeUniformMike · 17/05/2018 19:07

Iz-ol-da

FoofFighter · 17/05/2018 19:07

Izz Oll Dah

Joeybee · 18/05/2018 15:32

Like Iss-ol-da

SallyGardens · 18/05/2018 16:11

Iss-OLL-deh

It was my girl's name for DS. I think Iseult/Yseult (EE-soolt) is very harsh sounding.

JennyOnAPlate · 18/05/2018 16:16

Is ol duh. Sounds like is older though so I could never use it.

InkSnail · 18/05/2018 16:35

Is-OLL-duh

TatianaLarina · 18/05/2018 19:03

It’s not EE soolt

But Is ullt (as in pull) with equal emphasis on both syllables.

SallyGardens · 18/05/2018 20:11

In your accent. In mine it's EE-soolt.
