Love them all apart from Lily which is very overused imo. Merryn is my favourite.

TroubledLichen · 14/05/2018 20:21

In order if preference:
Nancy - love it
Edith - also lovely
Emmeline - ok, quite pretty
Lily/Molly - overused and a bit bland
Merryn - awful, makes me think of a hobbit. I expect this is a marmite name though and some posters will love it!

auntyflonono · 14/05/2018 20:28

Love Edith and Emmeline from your list. How about Adelaide or Eden as alternatives?

Sophronia · 14/05/2018 20:48

I like Emmeline best. The Merryn I know is male.

deptfordgirl · 14/05/2018 21:04

I like them all apart from Merryn and Lily. Nancy and Emmeline are probably my favourites.

Pebblespony · 14/05/2018 21:05

Molly is a nice name for a child. Not great for an adult.

MollyHuaCha · 14/05/2018 21:06

Merryn - no
Nancy - no
Emmeline - lovely
Lily - nice
Edith - lovely
Molly - no (yes, I know it's my user name!)

Babbaganoush · 14/05/2018 21:20

Thanks everyone. I think Merryn is our front runner...closely followed by Nancy.

I really love Edith but worried it is going to soar in popularity which puts me off. Someone suggested Imogen which I adore but husband doesn't like it.

❤ Merryn.
Nancy, Emmeline and Edith are very lovely too.

Buntysoven · 14/05/2018 23:37

I have a Nancy! 😍

TatianaLarina · 14/05/2018 23:42

Nancy.

Lily’s lovely just too everywhere.

Merryn’s a bit provincial.

Emmeline and Edith are ghastly.

Pemba · 15/05/2018 01:48

Emmeline is lovely, so is Lily (but there are so many of them).

Nancy and Edith are stodgy and old fashioned, especially Nancy. (Although I can see Edith is a nice-sounding name, if I can ignore the old lady associations, but Nancy remains unattractive).
