DH wants to name DD1 Susanna as it has important family links for him but I'm just not sure if I like it or not.

What does the mumsnet jury think?

Thats my name. Spelt exactly how you are wanting to spell it. I hated it growing up (a lot of people hate their name though). I have to spell it all the time because there's so many variations. I hated being called Suzie. I just always wanted a nice short name.

Ps you have no idea how many times 'oh susanna dont you cry for me' has been sang at me.

Lifeaback · 26/04/2018 20:18

I really dislike it sorry

My teenage niece is Susannah so naturally I love it. She has always refused to be called Sue! We call her Susie.

LadyWithLapdog · 26/04/2018 22:44

Nice name and I like Suzi.

Jazzy11 · 26/04/2018 22:57

Really like it !

flowermug2 · 26/04/2018 23:47

I've always liked Susie :)

FartnissEverbeans · 27/04/2018 09:45

I love it. I slightly prefer Susannah - it looks more complete somehow?

It has a lovely meaning too. Sukie is an excellent nickname

ooobisto · 27/04/2018 10:57

Awful and so 80s

Alexia05 · 27/04/2018 11:16

I like it. Makes me think of the leadsinger of The Bangles. Yes, I'm already a bit older, haha. But be stern and don't let people shorten it to Suzie or Suzanne/Susan. ;-)
