Starting to think of names for our little girl, currently 35 weeks. What are all of your opinions of the name Naomi? I love it but have had mixed reactions from friends/family

I really like it. Very pretty but not too twee.

DramaAlpaca · 23/04/2018 22:18

I love it.

Undercoverbanana · 23/04/2018 22:19

Lovely name.

Jaimx86 · 23/04/2018 22:20

I love it. My number one choice for a girl.

BeyondFear2020 · 23/04/2018 22:21

I had a friend called Naomi who hated it because backwards it spells I moan.

AlecOrAlonzo · 23/04/2018 22:23

Love it!

whatshappening1 · 23/04/2018 22:23

I like that name, other names I like are Sarah, Amy, Emma (very popular at the minute I hear) Louise, Bethany it's so difficult to choose a name isn't it!

RoundaboutSnail · 23/04/2018 22:34

I really like it.

UrgentExitRequired · 23/04/2018 22:37

It's an okay name. I'm indifferent towards it.

Padfootprongs · 23/04/2018 22:38

Don't love it to be honest. Have noticed people also have trouble pronouncing if

RedDwarves · 23/04/2018 22:40

I love it, but don't like when people pronounce it "NY-oh-mee" instead of "NAY-oh-mee", so I wouldn't use it for that reason.

EmmaC78 · 23/04/2018 22:41

I love it too. One of my favourite girls names.

LoveInTokyo · 23/04/2018 22:46

I like it but some idiots people will mistakenly pronounce it Ny-omi.

Pannacott · 23/04/2018 22:47

I love it, I know some ace Naomis.

Sophronia · 23/04/2018 22:48

I like it

funmummy48 · 23/04/2018 22:50

I love it!

MollyHuaCha · 23/04/2018 22:50

Nice

scrivette · 23/04/2018 22:55

One of my favourite names.

jaimelannistersgoldenhand · 23/04/2018 22:56

Ironic that @LoveInTokyo finds the Japanese pronunciation stupid. (It's technically Na-oh-mee rather than Ny-oh-mee in Japan but hey ho)

RedDwarves · 23/04/2018 22:58

jaime Yes, but I doubt the people Love is talking about are Japanese. Hmm That argument might have some more weight if we were all in Japan.

mummabubs · 23/04/2018 23:04

I love it, but then I am one, so a little biased!

ClaudiaWankleman · 23/04/2018 23:05

I really like it, and don't mind which pronunciation.

It has good meanings in Hebrew and Japanese too.

LoveInTokyo · 23/04/2018 23:06

No idea what you are talking about, jaime. Confused

PodgeBod · 23/04/2018 23:29

I really like it but I pronounce it Ny-oh-mee so am obviously an idiot and my opinion can't be trusted.

mostdays · 23/04/2018 23:50

Love it.
