Sibling for Esmé

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 12/04/2018 17:59

We already have an Esmé and DH has rejected Elijah, Elise and Eliza off my list as sounding too similar.

Other names we both like are
Nancy, Thea, Martha and Sadie for a girl. Seth, Nathaniel (Nate for short) or Theo for a boy. But we don't love any of them like we do the name Esmé.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Erin? Or is it the same letter at the beginning that makes you be so keen on those others?

It's not me 4mo, it's DH. I think in his mind anything beginning with E will sound a bit trite. I do like Erin though.

REALLY liking Joel and Alec, thank you...and remarkably so does DH! So bloody difficult to find something we both agree on!

Love Phoebe, Amelie and Iris but all used by close friends or relatives so can't have them Sad

Esme and Rory sounds cute

DanceDisaster · 12/04/2018 21:57

The children I know named Esme have siblings named Wilfred and Elias. I think they’re both lovely names.

I also think Toby and Rory are lovely and would go well with Esme.

Nancy and Sadie are lovely.

How about Mabel?

Smoliver · 12/04/2018 22:30

I only know one Esme, who has an older brother named Jack.

I love all your girls names on your list, especially Thea. I like Nathaniel and Theo from your boys names too.
