Names like Thea?

DP and I are really struggling to agree on names. He likes old fashioned/traditional names and I really don’t.
I already have DS who is Leo from a previous relationship so I feel it has to flow with that.
I am not a girly girl and don’t like frilly names. My favourite girls name is Cleo but I can’t use that with Leo or people will look at me like Hmm
I also love Thea so that’s currently front runner but I can’t find any more names like it that are on the same wavelength if you know what I mean.

Boys names we have are Luca, Ezra, Isaac and Oscar although I don’t think Oscar goes well with surname.

Help me!!

It divides opinion but I LOVE Thora. Strong, totally frill-free, and unusual.

MeredithShepherd · 11/04/2018 12:14

DP also likes Thea, he’s also suggested Heidi (ok) and Harriet (no!)
It’s so hard!
Yes I prefer names that can’t be shortened so short names are better!

Thea is the only name DH and I agree on, so that's her name - we can't wait to meet her.

It's a beautiful name that will work throughout life - feminine but strong too.

I love Thora. I wouldn’t like Heidi myself.

Are flower names like Iris too girly Or Grace/Joy/Hope?

Maeve. Erin. Paige. Maude. Jane. Eve
Elle. Clare. Beth. Kate. Nell. Ruth. Mary. Elsa. Jill. Faye. Laura. Alex. Cora.
Keep in mind though most if not all names can be shortnend or lengthened. Jane for eg could become Jay. Elle could be Come Ellie.
