What do you think of Pheonix for a boy?

Have you thought about Draogn?

Whisky2014 · 07/04/2018 18:32

Ridiculous

Quartz2208 · 07/04/2018 18:33

isnt it phoenix?

I do know a couple (born 9 years ok)

Dancingmonkey87 · 07/04/2018 18:34

Don’t like but if your going to use it I would use the correct spelling Phoenix.

MollyDaydream · 07/04/2018 18:34

Are you deliberately going for that spelling?

FleurDelacoeur · 07/04/2018 18:35

It's awful, even spelled correctly.

Felix a better choice, which sounds similar.

claptomania · 07/04/2018 18:35

Perhaps Micheal? Or Pheobe for a girl.

Ski40 · 07/04/2018 18:36

Gorgeous! Go for it! Slightly biased as it's my oldest son's middle name.
For me it has a lot of meaning. He was my rainbow baby after a loss so the symbolism of a Phoenix bird raising up from the ashes was very powerful for me. I have explained this to him and he was very happy and loves pictures of Phoenix birds.

PurpleDaisies · 07/04/2018 18:36

It’s not what I would choose but if you spell it right, it’s ok.

upsideup · 07/04/2018 18:36

isnt it phoenix?

Your right! If I cant spell it then then thats not a good start, It was a name that DH has just suggested not me but I will tell him no.

I know a little girl called Phoenix, not my taste but perfectly acceptable. It is spelt like Phoebe, though. He might get a lot of people misspelling it throughout his life.

PurpleDaisies · 07/04/2018 18:37

Pheobe is spelt Phoebe.

BrutusMcDogface · 07/04/2018 18:39

I know a Phoenix! Why not be a bit different? Or how about felix? though that reminds me of a cat

Phoenix is on our list but i like the idea of it being a middle name as I'm not sure we're brave enough to use it as a first name (plus dp will probably say FUCK NO if I suggest it!!Grin)

BrutusMcDogface · 07/04/2018 18:39

Pheobe is spelt Phoebe.

And micheal is spelt michael! Think clapto was joking Wink

upsideup · 07/04/2018 18:40

It does have meaning to us though, its a greek name and DH is greek and also me and DH got engaged in Phoenix.
Spelling obviously is a worry and also I am worried people would think its Felix and I really dont like that.

Haha! I said "our list" when I clearly meant "my list"!

tigerrun · 07/04/2018 18:44

Did you mean Phoenix? If you are going to go for an 'alternative' spelling then no. If not then probably still no, sorry.

tigerrun · 07/04/2018 18:45

Sorry x-post Blush!

leghairdontcare · 07/04/2018 18:45

I know a 3 year old Phoenix. It's actually not that bad. Certainly not the worse name in my 'cohort' of toddler groups.

To be fair I had some pretty 'out there' names on my list - but none of them got used, which I'm pretty happy about now (and now have teenager who really would definitely appreciate it I think if he realised what he was nearly called!)

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 07/04/2018 18:47

It's very 1990s - and definitely not a traditional Greek name. Did one of the Spice Girls have a baby called Phoenix? And did the Beckhams call Brooklyn that because they got engaged there? Ah, classy times.

Queenofthedrivensnow · 07/04/2018 18:50

I'm sitting here with a 6 year old Phoenix. He is a gorgeous sensitive little boy

JumpingFrogs · 07/04/2018 18:58

I think the Spice Girl Phoenix was a girl though...

Mamabear4180 · 07/04/2018 19:02

I love the name Phoenix and the meaning.
