Was your list originally the romantic girls’ names?

Carmen is nice but a bit weird if you don’t have Spanish roots. Ditto French for Marguerite. Meredith is quite nice. Not keen on the others, sorry. (Do you know what Lilith means?)

I thought that Lilith killed the newborn babies of other women, because she was so angry at being punished by God (and I think that involved the deaths of her own babies). A friend of mine liked Lilith but changed it to Lilla after finding this out.

I mean, Psyche would be an interesting talking point when she goes for therapy...

DD (4) has a friend called Lilith and I've always thought it was lovely. She's a cool kid and it suits her.

I quite like Gwendolyn- Gwen? How about Margot instead of Marguerite, bit more manageable and cool? Not keen on others really....

The Frasier associations with both Lilith and Frasier are too awful for me btw! How about Daphne? Ros? At least they were a laugh!

Meredith - Lovely name, not too popular. Merry/Edit potential nn.s.

Marguerite Daisy - LOVE it. Classic but different at the same time.
Gwendolyn - Nice, cute, Gwen is good nn.
Drusilla -Like Ursula but worse.
Ursula - Ugly.
Kendra - Too made-up and common sounding.
Psyche NO...not even as a middle name, it's just awful.
Lilith - Boring, plain, meh.

Carmen - makes me think of cars and men, it's a nice sound though, also Cara

Other ideas - Xandra short for Alexandra, Elspeth, Morwenna, Rowan, Alys

Drusilla reminds me of The Carpenters (though I’m sure theirs is spelt ‘Druscilla’), so I think it would make me smile if I heard it across the playground.
