Is Aubrey a girls or boys name?

I really like the name Aubrey but my husband and family keep saying it's a mans name, I think it's a beautiful girls name. What do others think?

I know this is a zombie but it’s a boys’ name and one of my pet peeves is it being given to girls!

Usually a boy's name. But there is an actress called Aubrey Plaza...

Neither - it's a very old man's name! That said, I know it is increasingly used as a girl's name in America so I wouldn't be surprised if it caught on here. Incidentally Audrey is not "the female equivalent" - they are completely different names with different derivations.

Traditionally a boy’s name to me but do see it used as a girl’s name a lot now!
