I like it!

Callamia · 12/03/2018 19:41

I worked with a Kaja once. She was lovely and smart, and I think of those things when I hear the name.

Cosmoa · 12/03/2018 20:48

It's always been one of my faves and is on my short list for our girl due in May Smile

DramaAlpaca · 12/03/2018 20:49

It's nice.

squoosh · 12/03/2018 20:58

I know a lovely little girl with this name.

pipilangstrumpf · 12/03/2018 21:12

Is it the feminine version of Kai? I've never heard of it...

NotAllTimsWearCapes · 12/03/2018 21:13

Don’t like it at all tbh.

Isadora2007 · 12/03/2018 21:14

I don’t like it, sorry. It’s a bit chavy imo.

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 12/03/2018 21:18

I like it. Both the girls I know with this name (junior school aged) are from v middle class, creative/boho type families, fwiw.

Lillylollylandy · 12/03/2018 21:19

Cindy Crawford's daughter, the new supermodel, is called Kaia. It's a nice name.

Zaya71 · 12/03/2018 21:51

I prefer it spelt Caia, but I think it's lovely either way.

Chocolateyescakeyes · 12/03/2018 21:52

I quite like it spelt Caia too!

I know one, she’s 12. It’s a lovely name. I like Kai too (for a boy).

PurpleBirch · 12/03/2018 22:32

I really don’t like it. Sounds cheap and made up.

MonsteraDeliciosa · 12/03/2018 22:36

I also think it sounds made up. Is it actually a name?

squoosh · 12/03/2018 23:04
Confused
Frogthefrog · 12/03/2018 23:06

I like it. It makes me think of Kaia Gerber (Cindy Crawford's daughter) and she is gorgeous.

pieceofpurplesky · 12/03/2018 23:10

I like Kaia and Gaia

pieceofpurplesky · 12/03/2018 23:10

Obviously not for twins!

ChocolateCrunch · 13/03/2018 05:10

Not keen, sorry

LolitaLempicka · 13/03/2018 05:20

Hate it. Really ugly sound.

Mrsknackered · 13/03/2018 08:24

I really like it, was on girls list for DS1.

Also like Gaia.

Mrsknackered · 13/03/2018 08:28

Pretty sure it's Nordic or just a different spelling of Kaja which is Scandinavian.

Love the automatic 'it sounds foreign' response on Mumsnet which is then covered up with 'sounds made up'

See it all the time, especially with Kaia, Aaliyah, etc.

MedicalEnigma · 13/03/2018 08:33

I like it which is weird for me as I dislike Kai.

But I prefer Kaya which I think is Native American.

Either way it has a lovely sound and it’s feminine yet strong sounding and suits a baby girl all through life to an elderly lady

stellarfox · 13/03/2018 17:44

I like it - think of Kaia Gerber
