Those of you that hate the name angel

How do you feel about angela?

Love it Due a comeback IMO.

I find it quite middle aged but I like Marion and same has been said about that. It's not a bad name.

It's the nn Angie that put me off

As chezmk1988 says, quite middle aged. But I suppose that's just due to the Angela's I know

My aunt is called Angela. So I'm fond!

It will be shortened to Angel to make it more current, which tbh Angela nn Angel I quite like. Naming your child Angel is a bit much.
It could also be El/Ella which is more common

I also think it’s due a comeback. Angie is kind of cute.

My sister in law is called Angela. Shes always been Angie to us and she’s lovely!! And I like the name anyway.

Beautiful name

It’s actually a really pretty name, but the number of 40+ Angies I know makes me ‘read’ it as frumpy and dated, and puts me off.

See also: Karen, Julie, Melissa, etc.

Prefer it to Ivy, Violet, Elsie etc.

But current kids won't have the 'frumpy' association.

It's a lovely name, I like it.

I still find it a bit dated, plus doesn't everybody have an auntie Angela? Haha
