first name electric?

blue isn't a name is it, not very descriptive, why blue?

EllenJanethickerknickers · 04/03/2018 21:19

Not my sort of thing, but as a middle name? Why not.

pancakesunday · 04/03/2018 21:19

Each to their own but I don't like it. It's not a name as such

mynameisLuca · 04/03/2018 21:20

It's a bit "I wanna be Beyonce" isn't it?

greengrass1234 · 04/03/2018 21:20

I know a teen with the middle name Blue. Why not.

MerryMarigold · 04/03/2018 21:20

I know a boy first name is blue. You get used to it Grin

RickOShay · 04/03/2018 21:20

I like it.

bigbootsj · 04/03/2018 21:21

Nope..Beyonce you ain't. Silly name

MerryMarigold · 04/03/2018 21:21

My dd has a teddy called Meghan Velvet which I think is a pretty awesome name.

Theycallmepheobe · 04/03/2018 21:22

Not for me. There was an Archie-Blue at Dds nursery - I never got used to it.

ChocolateCrunch · 04/03/2018 21:57

Depends on the first name really.

bridgetreilly · 04/03/2018 22:01

I don't like it much, but better as a middle name than a first name.

It's just that blue can mean sad, which I think is an unfortunate name to give a child.

ErrantBakedBean · 04/03/2018 22:09

I love it. Scarlet is a colour, Ralph means red, Jade, Violet... Why not Blue?

stellarfox · 04/03/2018 22:21

I think you can do what you like with middle names more so than a first name as they don’t get used that often. Not my taste personally but if you love it then it’s up to you!

MollyHuaCha · 04/03/2018 22:46

Not my choice, but certainly not the worst name I've seen on MN either.

pallisers · 04/03/2018 22:49

Ds's friend has middle name Blue (21 year old male). I think it is not that out there as a middle name tbh. I'd wonder why the parents gave it but I tend to wonder that about most middle names.

DameSquashalot · 04/03/2018 22:53

Years ago I worked with someone with Blue for a middle name. First name was really 'out there' too. I really like it.

Mrsramsayscat · 04/03/2018 22:56

I hate it, sorry. It's Beyoncé, it's "I'm blue (depressed). It doesn't seem like a name.

PaperdollCartoon · 04/03/2018 23:00

I think it’s pretty cool. I’d question it as a first name, though could get on board, but as a middle name why not! Ruby, Scarlett, Violet...

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 04/03/2018 23:00

As a middle name it's fine. I would prob think of blue as a boys name though but I don't know why.. if you like it go for it.

Cosmoa · 05/03/2018 10:59

I love it!! Smile

YouCantBeSirius · 05/03/2018 11:26

I like it, my cousin has it as a middle name.

george49 · 05/03/2018 11:31

It doesn't have a nice sound (Bloo is a brand of toilet cleaner) and it has a negative connotation of being sad.

I can't understand why people choose it

bigknickersbigknockers · 05/03/2018 11:33

no its naff

Shen0102 · 05/03/2018 11:36

What purpose is the name going to serve?
