What are your thoughts on Ingrid? I've heard of inky as a nn which is kinda cute

I love it!!

Sammilouwho · 27/02/2018 14:06

It’s beautiful!
It was one of our choices but we’ve decided on Astrid instead :)

glitterbiscuits · 27/02/2018 14:20

It’s really nice. Not sure about the nickname. I think nicknames are better if they evolve.

Zaya71 · 27/02/2018 15:00

Ingrid and Astrid were both on my list for DD1 - I love them both but don't like the nicknames so went with something else.

AnyaMoondial · 27/02/2018 17:52

Excellent name.

Love!

Cosmoa · 27/02/2018 18:30

One of those name that I've always despised... Can't believe anyone likes it but that just goes to show how differently names feel to people! It sounds like a term.. Maybe because of 'inbred' and 'fridgid' actually now I think of it..

Mrsknackered · 27/02/2018 18:33

Not a fan either. It's too maths sounding! I like Inca?

Elfyn · 27/02/2018 18:50

Love! I love Astrid too but Ingrid feels less trendy and more unusual.

LaGattaNera · 27/02/2018 19:01

love it

Piffpaffpoff · 27/02/2018 19:02

Love it!

DryHeave · 27/02/2018 19:03

I know one who uses Iggy as a nn.

UnmitigatedBollocks · 27/02/2018 19:04

I think it’s got a horrible sound.

TheresSomebodyAtTheDoor · 27/02/2018 19:04

The two adult Ingrid's I know are kind, thoughtful and fun. Lovely!

pigsflybackinfeb · 27/02/2018 20:09

Not a fan.

Uhohmummy · 27/02/2018 20:12

I love it! I would have had it for DD but DH wouldn’t let me use it.
I think it’s an elegant, feminine and strong name.

Icklepup · 27/02/2018 20:15

I think inbred when I hear it but maybe that's just me...

funnyfoursome · 27/02/2018 20:15

Sounds very Germanic to me

HairyToity · 27/02/2018 20:17

I prefer Astrid
