Aw OP you fucked it up! Never mind.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 24/02/2018 10:02

Surely when thinking of baby names, Spock would make you think of Dr Spock, not Mr Spock

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 24/02/2018 10:03

Oh, you're going Roman, how déclassé! They only copied the Greeks ya know. Hephaestus, or you announce yourself as terribly non u.

And a twat.

k2p2k2tog · 24/02/2018 10:06

Aha, ver amusing OP - except you were the only person to mention Star Trek so game over. Better luck next time or get a more interesting hobby

Lostmyunicorn · 24/02/2018 10:08

Even if you do just think of the god of fire, it's quite a back story for a baby though - Vulcan was rejected at birth by his mother for being small and ugly according to roman mythology. She threw him down from mount Olympus and he fell into the sea. He took revenge as an adult by designing a throne for Juno his mother, which when she sat in it released metal bands trapping her in the chair. He wouldn't release her until he was promised marriage to Venus. The eruptions of mount etna were said to be the raging anger of Vulcan each time Venus is unfaithful to him. He was renowned among the gods for his anger and lack of physical beauty. I'm not sure it's exactly a happy namesake.

iklboo · 24/02/2018 10:09

Shrinkinzevash (must be pronounced in German accent for full effect).

AltheaorDonna · 24/02/2018 10:11

I have a Turkish friend (male) called Volkan, he’s a lovely chap. 😀

Mummyoflittledragon · 24/02/2018 10:12

Possible middle names? I’m thinking:

Emotionally-stunted
Salute
Nerve-pinch
Ears

In other words, don’t do it!

Willow2017 · 24/02/2018 10:14

I'd go for Romulan or maybe Ferengie. In Keeping with the 'Vulcan' theme.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 24/02/2018 10:20

Deathgrip, obviously.

LoniceraJaponica · 24/02/2018 10:20

Bomber. It's got to be Bomber Grin

Joking apart, if you really are serious this thread surely is an indicator of the reactions you will get if you go ahead with this ridiculous name. Or is it just a nickname? Or are you a loon?

Commuterface · 24/02/2018 10:21

Nigel
Steve
David
John

PerfectlyDone · 24/02/2018 10:28

Vulcan McVulcanface is surely the winner! Grin

Vulcan Deathgrip is too obvious, as is Spock (whether purebred or not).

Volkan is a great name in the corresponding culture, in English the poor child will just be miserable I'm afraid.

troodiedoo · 24/02/2018 10:29

This would be a wank name even for a middle class hipster boy. Thank goodness you put us all out of our misery early on.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 24/02/2018 10:34

Quark

NorthernLurker · 24/02/2018 10:45

Well the third reply mentions Spock so not quite the op giveaway people seem to think unless the third poster was the op too which is clearly possible as this is patently bollocks.
