For a boy. I’m all finished having DC but I keep thinking about it. Would it have been a terrible mistake?

I really like it!

upsideup · 22/02/2018 12:46

DS4 is Jett, it really suits him and we really like it.

Luckingfovely · 22/02/2018 12:46

Love it! Would happily use on another DS

RoryAndLogan · 22/02/2018 12:47

I don't know, how about...

Wheel
Shoe
Ladle
Aspirin
Yacht

or any other random inanimate object?

LadyPenelopeCantDance · 22/02/2018 14:00

It’s ok but I think where you live will define how it’s pronounced. In Scotland, I don’t think people would pronounce the T.

TheLastMermaid · 22/02/2018 14:00

Sorry, it's a black Labrador name in our family.

My first thought, though, is Alan Partridge's tribute to Wings' "Jet!" - if it's before your time, google /look up on YouTube.

NerrSnerr · 22/02/2018 14:02

My first thought is Gladiators, but anyone too young to watch 90s telly wouldn’t know her.

Jammycustard · 22/02/2018 14:03

No.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 22/02/2018 14:12

Sorry no.

squarecorners · 22/02/2018 14:16

Both Katie Price and John Travolta have kids called Jet, so make of that what you will...

I love it!

bridgetreilly · 22/02/2018 15:30

It's fine for his Gladiator name.

clarrylove · 22/02/2018 15:43

It's a very popular name for a dog. And sounds odd when people drop the 't'.

Mummyh2016 · 22/02/2018 15:44

Reminds me of Katie Price, I think one of hers is called Jet.

daffodildreamer · 22/02/2018 16:03

@IAmMatty Aspirin! Love it. Grin

happytobemrsg · 22/02/2018 16:48

There's a Jet in home & away Blush I like it

OakIsBetterTho · 22/02/2018 16:51

Gladiators, are you ready?!

Seriously tho, they'd have to be super cool to carry off that name and I wouldn't want to lumber my child with that pressure. I personally don't particularly like it either, it's a bit pet dog sounding.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 22/02/2018 16:56

I like it but only as a nn.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 22/02/2018 17:52

One of my Sons has Jett for a middle name, I like it.😄

MikeUniformMike · 22/02/2018 21:14

Brilliant dog's name. ok as a nn. How about Jumbo?

Iwasjustabouttosaythat · 23/02/2018 00:33

So it’s quite split. I still really like it but I agree he’d have to be really cool or really geeky (which I think it really cool actually Smile). Oh well, the time has passed but if I had another boy I would probably do it (DP would likely veto). There are wire things than growing up to be a gladiator. Wink

I know a woman who's ds is called Jet (short for Jetson) I think it's a really cool name, but he is a very cool ten year old. His dm owns a vintage clothes shop, so he's always decked out in super cool retro threads. He's gorgeous!
