I'll be absolutely gutted if the royal family call their baby Alice 😐😐 its the only name we agree on and I've got the ultimate fear!!

Hmm. Maybe Fizzy didn't see that the OP has chosen Fiona? Maybe she did and just didn't care.

Leontine · 28/02/2018 12:09

I think it'll be Alice for a girl (I was hoping they'd use it for Charlotte) and maybe Alexander for a boy? Or is that George's middle name?

Viviennemary · 28/02/2018 12:11

I think Mary or Victoria for a girl. Boy possibly Albert.

MissMoodyMoo · 28/02/2018 13:00

Bridget we're going with fiadh instead of Fiona x

They won't pick Florence, surely! The anglicised name of a foreign city for a British royal?

DrewBerry95 · 28/02/2018 13:14

My bet is is Ellie May Grin

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 28/02/2018 13:17

Ellie Mai surely?

boatrace30 · 28/02/2018 13:19

Due about two weeks before Catherine and our favourite names are Alice and Arthur. Feel like we're screwed as don't want to go with the same name but don't want to not use our favourite name to then find out they go with something different two weeks later!!

DrewBerry95 · 28/02/2018 13:27

When is she actually due?

Great clearly not, an 'i' at the end would be far too common! Grin

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 28/02/2018 13:30

Oh. I thought you were joking about Ellie May ShockGrin

daisypond · 28/02/2018 13:35

boatrace - you have 42 days to register your name, so that should be loads of time to see what the royal name is and then you can either change your names or go ahead accordingly!

harrietm87 · 28/02/2018 15:05

@boatrace30 do you know when she's due? Is it late April? I'm due 8th and have same issue - love Mary for a girl but would hate to choose it and then have her use it!

boatrace30 · 28/02/2018 17:22

I'm due 3rd. I think she's due mid-late April. Just guessing from when it was announced etc. I'm also likely to have mine end of March as baby is breech so I'll prob have an ELCS.

@daisypond - can't imagine changing the name after naming the baby... would have to put up with it I think. I do have a friend who had a George a couple of months before they had George and think she was a bit annoyed but got over it!

daisypond · 28/02/2018 17:29

No, I don't mean you change your baby's name! I mean, you wait till the royals name their baby, and then you can name yours. Yours might be born about two weeks before the royals, but you will still have a whole month before you need to register your name.

Marmite27 · 28/02/2018 17:36

Someone has suggested both the middle names we want to use and several other posters the first name.

Our DD will be here between 4th and 28th April due to complications - god I hope they have a boy!

boatrace30 · 28/02/2018 18:51

😂 ah I see! Not sure I could leave it nameless for up to a month either... will just have to go with it I guess!

Bouncingbelle · 01/03/2018 02:22

Frances was dianas middle name & is michael middletons middle name so im going for

Mary Caroline Frances
Mary Eleanor Frances

Arthur Philip Francis
Arthur Michael Philip

Plumsofwrath · 01/03/2018 02:58

Josephine?
Cecilia (one of the Queen Mother’s names)?
Frances (Diana’s middle name)?

Arthur
Matthew
Thomas

HeadlessGummyBears · 02/03/2018 06:47

@mathanxiety I didn’t know their full names. But you’re right, it does seem to be that there is a pattern:

George and Charlotte have a pattern of shortish first name, long middle name and relatively short second middle name.
George Alexander Louis
Charlotte Elizabeth Diana

So perhaps they’ll do the same for baby number 3? In which case, Mary and Alice do seem like strong contenders. Arthur and Albert also seem to go quite well with George and Charlotte.

AppleKatie · 02/03/2018 08:19

Henry, William and Catherine might be contenders for middle names now I think about it.

Mintylemons · 02/03/2018 08:25

Louise or Helena for a girl (from Queen Vic’s daughters).

Arthur or Louis for a boy.
