I'll be absolutely gutted if the royal family call their baby Alice 😐😐 its the only name we agree on and I've got the ultimate fear!!

It's fine I'm totally over Alice after reading an article about the alice in wonderland creator being a paedophile and abusing the alice he created the sorry about!...fiona it is!

Whoever pointed out Princess Alice died young, so did the last Princess Charlotte of Wales. She died in childbirth.

Funnily enough though for those people suggesting Caroline; Princess Charlotte of Wales' parents were George iv and Caroline of Brunswick.

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/02/2018 07:09

The last Princess Alice lived to about 100!

IVflytrap · 27/02/2018 10:29

I'm going to go with Frances Mary Philippa or Arthur James Philip. But I'm crossing my fingers for Satan-Grace or Balonz.

Aren’t Charlotte and Caroline two versions of the same name? I thought they were both a feminine form of Charles.

I hope it’s Alexandra.

WaxOnFeckOff · 27/02/2018 11:16

I think maybe Florence/Flora for a girl. Jonathan maybe for a boy.

ImListening · 27/02/2018 11:49

Would they risk Frances? The tabloids would be Willie/Wills has named his dd Fanny

FizzyGreenWater · 27/02/2018 12:17

Fiona is terrible!!!!

I don't think they'll go for Albert - it's a bit trendy now. Alfie/Bertie type name seems a bit downmarket Grin

I would say Alice for a girl has to be up there. Possibly Alexandra or Eleanor.

No first name which is a living royal - so no Henry, Philip, Charles - James is her brother etc. But they're fine with middle name repetition so could easily see:

Louis
Arthur
Richard.

SamanthaBrique · 27/02/2018 13:50

I wouldn't have thought Alexandra as there's already a Princess Alexandra.

LoveInTokyo · 27/02/2018 14:08

So? The Queen and her mother were both called Elizabeth.

HotCrossBunFight · 27/02/2018 14:32

There's too many Royals Now, they seemingly have no names left!

WaxOnFeckOff · 27/02/2018 14:43

I'm warming to John/Jonathan William James, known as Jack. and Florence Catherine Frances known as Flora.

Evanna13 · 27/02/2018 18:17

Florence is lovely. I think it goes nicely with George & Charlotte. I like Mary for a middle name.

Rainbowsandflowers78 · 27/02/2018 18:29

John is a good one

mergrey · 28/02/2018 08:29

Yes I like Frances. Diana's mothers name, and Diana's middle name.

I wonder if they will include Kate's side of the family? Or is that generally not done?

FizzyGreenWater · 28/02/2018 09:40

Yes they should have Michael in there somewhere. Problem is of course that it might look like it references the Michaels of Kent - which for the royals would be the naming equivalent of one of the corgis taking a dump in the throne room. Or so I have heard.

Belindabauer · 28/02/2018 09:42

Florence Catherine Frances is lovely.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 28/02/2018 09:49

Yes it is Belinda.

Is Florence a royal name?

AppleKatie · 28/02/2018 11:34

I think the Michaels of Kent have probably ruined Michael for this generation at least. Unless maybe as a third middle name or something.

Florence has got David Cameron echos hasn’t it? Bit political for a royal choice.

WaxOnFeckOff · 28/02/2018 11:42

I think that's a bit of a tenuous link. There have been actual prime minister's called william, andrew, james, Charles, edward, frederick, Henry etc . This baby won't be queen either so I think they have a bit more leeway.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 28/02/2018 11:47

I'm saying Arthur or Alice.

Sophronia · 28/02/2018 11:56

Alice Philippa Mary or Arthur Philip Henry

bridgetreilly · 28/02/2018 12:01

FizzyGreenWater, the OP's just announced that she's calling her baby Fiona, and you comment that it's terrible?!
