Aprilshowerswontbelong · 20/02/2018 16:34

None. My dgm was Florence with nn Florrie - she would have been 100 this year!!

NoArmaniNoPunani · 20/02/2018 16:35

I know 2. Also know of David Cameron's daughter.

Catinthebath · 20/02/2018 16:35

I knows of 3, one goes by Flossie

mummyhaschangedhername · 20/02/2018 16:36

One

BubbleAndSquark · 20/02/2018 16:37

2, one Florence one shortens to Flo

PenguinsandPandas · 20/02/2018 16:38

One, around 50, none around the kids ages.

serenmoon · 20/02/2018 16:38

I know one age 4, nn Flo.

dkb15164 · 20/02/2018 16:42

I know a Florence I went to school with, very snooty and stuck up, liked to make a point about how her daddy always bought her things e.g a horse. Wouldn't name a child Florence purely after knowing her.

FloatyFlo · 20/02/2018 16:52

I know three. Two children and my cat Grin One of the children goes by Flossie

weebarra · 20/02/2018 16:53

None, but it is my DD's middle name.

EspressoPatronum · 20/02/2018 16:53

One, goes by flor or florrie

piglet81 · 20/02/2018 16:57

Just one (aged 2). Don't think she has a nickname yet.

cordiality · 20/02/2018 17:00

I call my one Floss or Florrie, or Flofee or Fluff. Or Pickle. But her friends call her Florence. She is one of 3 in her school.

Cosmoa · 20/02/2018 17:30

Quite a few, old and young. But I also I know a girl names Florencia which I think is much prettier!

Cosmoa · 20/02/2018 17:31

Named* Florencia

Isadora2007 · 20/02/2018 17:32

Two- an 8 year old Flo and a 4 year old Flossie.

Songofthesouth · 20/02/2018 17:39

Florence is definitely the most popular girls name in my area. Most of them are still only babies and go by Florence but one or two have been shortened to Flo.

Songofthesouth · 20/02/2018 17:40

Oh actually one goes by Florrie

DelphiniumBlue · 20/02/2018 17:41

I think there is one in 7 out of the 8 classes I teach (7-11).

Smellybluecheese · 20/02/2018 17:44

Two. And it’s my daughter’s middle name.

abivelvet · 20/02/2018 17:47

Four, aged between 1-9. It's very popular these days, Flo is the common nn.

SleepingInNewYork · 20/02/2018 17:48

I know four and they go by Florence, Flo or Florrie.

littlepooch · 20/02/2018 17:52

4 off the top of my head.

1 is a friend so in her 30s.
The other 3 are all under 2

SuperBeagle · 20/02/2018 20:08

I only know older Florences (80+) and one who's my age (early 30s). All of them go by "Flo", which is what resoundingly puts me off the name.
