My husband and I are expecting our first baby next week, but despite narrowing our list of names down to four we are still struggling to choose. I would really appreciate your help as we are getting nowhere.
Our choices are:
Edward nn Ted
Arthur nn Art/Artie
Alfred nn Alf/Fred
Albert nn Bert

Thank you so much!

Edward. The others are nowhere near as nice.

Edward. I'm biased because I have one (known as Eddie). Ted is a lovely shortening too.

AmberTopaz · 11/02/2018 18:11

Edward is my favourite too.

ShackUp · 11/02/2018 18:12

I have a Fred and a Bert Grin

Alfred or Albert.

I think Edward is by far the nicest.

Don't worry though, you'll know which one is right when you meet him Smile

AdaColeman · 11/02/2018 18:36

All very nice names. I think Arthur is quite popular just now, so I'd pick Albert, and I especially like Bertie as a nn.

pilates · 11/02/2018 18:42

Edward and Albert are my favourites

BrutusMcDogface · 11/02/2018 18:49

I think Edward, too!

rubyslippers83 · 11/02/2018 19:01

Looks like Edward is in first place! Thank you all for taking the time to comment, this is my first post and has been really helpful.

I'm voting for Alfred, as I like Alfie and Freddie as nn.

Edward/Ted for me too.

Stinkbomb · 11/02/2018 23:43

Albert is a nice name but I can't help thinking about a Prince Albert

RosieCotton · 12/02/2018 01:09

Arthur is lovely, I never even thought of it for a boy.

Sophronia · 12/02/2018 02:33
