Middle name ideas

We have pretty much decided on Harriet as the first name.

We had discussed Lily as a middle name but I'm put off by it's popularity.

Surname begins with T and I'd like to avoid HRT, HAT and similar initials.

My middle name is Jane and I hate it. I'd much rather choose a name I like! There's no family names that we want to use.

Please help!!

How about Lila or Leila as an alternative to Lily?
Or Millie

We have chosen Harriet as our girl name and will use Matilda as the middle name. Other names we considered were Clara, Ruth and Beatrice.

We’ve settled on ‘Harriet Clara’ if we have a girl! Smile

Yika · 28/01/2018 19:21

Oh I guess HOT or HUT would not be so great either. I take back my suggestions!

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 28/01/2018 19:22

NickMyLipple · 28/01/2018 19:29

I love Matilda but the surname makes it have too many T's - shame because it's probably my favourite!

I think Lily is lovely for a middle name. I don't think you should worry about popularity of the name when it comes to the middle name.

Other suggestions:

Harriet Pearl
Harriet Penelope
Harriet Joy
Harriet Faye
Harriet Bluebell
Harriet Blossom
Harriet Ember
Harriet Violet
Harriet Isla
Harriet Lila
Harriet Louise
Harriet Fleur
Harriet Jade

Harriet Grace?

My middle name is Duncan after my great grandfather who I'm honoured to be named for. Mum was Cameron after his surname.

LetsSplashMummy · 28/01/2018 19:48

I think Harriet Wren has a lovely feel to it.

MikeUniformMike · 28/01/2018 19:53

I think a longer classic name sounds best.
Harriet Elizabeth Tickle.
I would avoid anything twee or trendy, especially if your surname is a common one.

daisydiddlex · 29/01/2018 15:11

Harriet Elora
Harriet Everly
Harriet Madeleine
Harriet Elizabeth
Harriet Luciana

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 29/01/2018 17:18

Harriet Susan.

MikeUniformMike · 29/01/2018 17:24

Harriet Susan is nice. I also like Harriet Victoria and Harriet Louise.

Sadiebird · 29/01/2018 17:30

Oh, Harriet Lily is just gorgeous. I know you’ve said you’re put off by its popularity though but I think that’s a lovely choice.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 29/01/2018 18:30
