Honestly:

  1. I think it's ace in the abstract.
  2. But I'm not sure how "wearable" it is for every day.
  3. With nn Juno I think it's extra stylish as she can be fragrant and delicate OR badass goddess queen depending on her mood.
StereophonicallyChallenged · 12/01/2018 08:11

Honestly, I just don't think it works as a nice name. Although I'm not sure why Confused Juno is really lovely though!

FacelikeaBagofHammers · 12/01/2018 08:14

It's lovely, but not sure how annoying it might be day to day. Would you shorten it?

Juno is fab.

We have a two week old Juniper.

We have had mixed responses to her name ranging from "That's...interesting" to
"Beautiful name!"

Everyone wants to know why we chose the name, some people assume there is some sort of 'story' behind it (no - we just picked it because we like it).

Dd1 has started shortening it to Juni and FIL keeps calling her Jupiter by accident 😂

These are our experiences so far but we obviously absolutely love it. No regrets at all 😊

PineappleTits · 12/01/2018 08:33

It reminds me of a spice rack Blush not a fan personally op

Luckingfovely · 12/01/2018 08:38

Actually, I really like it - unusual but not 'out there'. Lovely nn.

We have a very unusual name for one of our Dc which raised a few eyebrows at first, but everyone loves it now, have never met another with that name, and can't imagine them being anything else.

Be bold!

Luckingfovely · 12/01/2018 08:40

Also I wouldn't bother asking opinions in rl, it just gets too confusing. Your child, your choice.

ASDismynormality · 12/01/2018 08:40

I love it, very pretty.

workshyfop · 12/01/2018 08:41

Love it!

mistermagpie · 12/01/2018 08:45

Hmm I usually like names like that, but something about the 'nip' bothers me I think... nipple? Maybe? Or it's just the sound in a name is unusual.

I try to imagine myself phoning a client at work and introducing myself with various names to see how they feel on an adult. Juniper is a name that I would be embarrassed by I think.

UrsulaPandress · 12/01/2018 08:47

I love it.

Gladiola44 · 12/01/2018 08:48

Lovely name.

Sandsnake · 12/01/2018 08:49

I really love how it sounds. I would hesitate using it because I would worry people would think we were pretentious. But that's just me!

Xennialish · 12/01/2018 08:50

Love it. Juno and juni very acceptable abbreviations.

PandaCat · 12/01/2018 08:51

I really like it!

SentinelWoo · 12/01/2018 08:52

I have never thought of Juniper in a name capacity before, but I read your title and actually really like it!

SuperBeagle · 12/01/2018 08:54

In theory, I like it. But I don't think it's very usable/wearable.

Like Juno a lot though.

TwitterQueen1 · 12/01/2018 08:54

I don't like June (old-fashioned) and it also shouts 'nipper' to me, or 'nippy', so I'm not a fan. People will hear this as Jennifer as well I think.

But it's none of my business! your daughter, your choice. Go with what you like Smile.

flutteronbynow · 12/01/2018 10:17

I actually really like it...but I would definitely use Juno/Juni day to day.

JuliannaBixby · 12/01/2018 10:19

It's a bit on the sappy/drippy/twee end of the scale for me. Struggling to picture it on anyone over the age of about 7.

MissWilmottsGhost · 12/01/2018 10:21

Um. I just misread it as Jumper until I noticed it wasn't in Style and Beauty Blush

Generally I like herby/floral/nature names, sorry.

Battleax · 12/01/2018 10:23

I adore it.

Hippy-pretty.

It'll inevitably get a June/Juno/Nippy shortening but that's no bad thing.

Veterinari · 12/01/2018 10:27

Love it!

thamesk8 · 12/01/2018 10:28

I love Juni and Juno.
The nip and the harsh per sound are putting me off. And it’s not as classic as Tabitha and Saskia.

Lovely ju billy - what’s your other daughter called?

Gahhhh. It’s so hard!
