So Ezra is a name I've previously discounted but heard it on holby city tonight and it struck a cord.

What are your thoughts on Ezra and do you know any?

It fits in with my love of biblical names but i think I previously discounted it as it seems a bit faddy , similar to Arlo

I really like it. I don't see it as faddish particularly as I know 2 adults called Ezra (well, ones an Esra) I'm sort of the opinion that all biblical names age well and don't date particularly.

I like it and if I ever had another ds (I won't) I would probably call them Ezra.

Olivelor · 05/12/2017 21:51

I like it too. Really nice name and uncomplicated. Grin

IrenetheQuaint · 05/12/2017 21:52

It sounds like an aged Victorian gardener to me, but I still haven't quite caught up with the modern fashion in names Grin

blue2014 · 05/12/2017 22:02

I love it

Callamia · 05/12/2017 22:10

I know one, and he’s completely lovely. It suits him perfectly, he’s slightly quirky and individual.

SantaStuckInTheChimney · 05/12/2017 22:23

I like it, but I'm not sure about the 'a' ending. I associate this ending with girls' names.

PaxUniversalis · 05/12/2017 22:29

Nice!

hungryradish · 05/12/2017 22:38

I love it too!

cushioncovers · 05/12/2017 22:39

Love it

Shehz21 · 05/12/2017 22:42

Love it 😄

reallyorange · 05/12/2017 22:44

How strange, me and DH today just decided to put this at the top of our list (after months of thinking about names) and then I saw this thread :)

I did think it sounded like a singer-songwriter but I was thinking of George Ezra...

pipilangstrumpf · 05/12/2017 22:46

I also find the -a ending a little feminine

Ffeyone · 05/12/2017 22:46

I know three in primary school, nice name .

mummabubs · 05/12/2017 22:47

I love it and wanted it on our boys list but husband wasn't as keen. At the end of the day it should be a name you both love and bah humbug to what anyone else thinks!

Sophronia · 05/12/2017 22:47

I like it. I also like Asa for a boy.

MaroonPencil · 05/12/2017 22:50

As the mother of Star Wars Rebels fans I think of Ezra Bridger

Ezra
calamityjam · 05/12/2017 22:51

Nope, sounds like a Dingle

BewareOfDragons · 05/12/2017 23:02

I like the name Ezra.

ajb17 · 05/12/2017 23:06

My son is called Ezra, so obviously I think it's a lovely name.

BabyMeYHL · 05/12/2017 23:08

It's my brother and nephews name. It's a lovely name. X

LaMigraine · 05/12/2017 23:13

I know a 4-year-old Ezra. Must admit I did an internal double-take when I first heard it, but now I'm used to it, and know him a bit, I think it's cute.

PetalMettle · 05/12/2017 23:15

I really like it but it is super trendy at the minute - so I wonder whether it might end up being of its time

Mamabear4180 · 06/12/2017 12:25

I like it and am considering it but not sure about the A ending, I prefer Ezio for the sound and meaning but it seems too foreign.

deptfordgirl · 06/12/2017 12:52

It is nice but it does seem to be everywhere at the moment. Wasn't it the fastest rising name in 2016? It does remind me of the Ezra in PLL.
