Yes, agree with PP. Hugo & Jude - 💙💙 Really dislike Julian. Sorry.

TatianaLarina · 21/11/2017 11:37

I like Jude but equal to Julian which I think goes better with Hugo.

ByThePowerOfRa · 21/11/2017 11:48

Jude or Jolyon

ByThePowerOfRa · 21/11/2017 11:50

Sorry - hit post too soon there! Probably sounded a bit abrupt, “JUDE OR JOLYON”.

I mean, Jude or Jolyon are lovely and go nicely with Hugo imo.

tinymeteor · 21/11/2017 11:51

Well it is proper posh. But I quite like it. Prefer Rufus though, if you're going in that direction

Littlehouseonthepraririe · 21/11/2017 12:14

In theory I like jolyon.. But when I say it I keep hearing Jog On Confused

There are already quite a few Hides in my social circle unfortunately , would appreciate any more suggestions tho, as u can guess I like the posho theme names 😆

quite a few JUDES! *

Jolyon can be pronounced Joe-lee-un or Jolly-un, both equally acceptable, if that helps. Could be shortened to Joe, or Joel.

Pearlsaringer · 21/11/2017 12:55

It’s a derivative of Julian anyway.

Pearlsaringer · 21/11/2017 12:58

I’m just going to put it out there - Benedict

ByThePowerOfRa · 21/11/2017 14:08

Love Benedict!

If you’d like more suggestions then:

Caspar
Monty
Rupert?

If not then ignore me!

MammieBear · 21/11/2017 16:34

Good Choice.

Littlehouseonthepraririe · 21/11/2017 17:16

Really like Rupert and Monty but family members have already nabbed those !
I reeeally love Benedict ! But our surname actually sounds a lot like it lol so can't use 😩

I like the name Julian but it is associated with a very particular type of man. Some people wouldn't mind the association but some might. Look it up.

Pearlsaringer · 21/11/2017 17:26

Actually that might sound quite cool, Scandinavian first names and surnames are often very similar.

Pearlsaringer · 21/11/2017 17:32

Tarquin? Tristan? This is fun

ByThePowerOfRa · 21/11/2017 17:45

I was going to suggest tristan!

How about Magnus? It’s quite like Julius. Don’t know if it’s posh though.

HeteronormativeHaybales · 21/11/2017 17:48

I like it, and am a bit surprised at the hate (some of it inverse snobbery?) here. Didn't think of it as all that posh, tbh. Not in the Tarquin/Jolyon/Ptolemy category.

Pearlsaringer · 21/11/2017 17:51

‘tis vair vair posh, Ra.Wink

ByThePowerOfRa · 21/11/2017 17:53

T’is pearl.

Fwiw, I don’t actually think of Julian as posh either haybales. I just don’t think it’s a nice name.

yawning801 · 21/11/2017 17:54

Sorry, it reminds me of that Enid Blyton prick!

ByThePowerOfRa · 21/11/2017 17:55

How about Ivo, Caspian or Inigo op?

pipilangstrumpf · 21/11/2017 18:15

Magnus, Quentin or Raphael?

Ragusa · 21/11/2017 18:34

To my east Julian and Hugo sounds immensely posh. You'd meet little Julian and Hugo in a Barnes/ Richmond/ Clapham/ Holland Park playground. If caucasian, their mum would have perfect blonde hair and be oozing good childhood nutrition.

I'd be tempted to go with something a bit more classless.

I hope you're not offended by that. It's hard to shake stereotypical associations and images!

Pearlsaringer · 21/11/2017 19:05

Piers?
