I'm due DC1 and if it's a girl, I'm snookered for names.

I love Irish names, the older and more obscure the better. Some names I love but can't use are:
Fiadhna
Líadan
Éimhín

I'm not looking for your run of the mill Irish names, no Aoifes, Orlas or Aislings please!
I like names of Scottish origin too.

Go raibh maith agaibh Smile thanks!

Please please can someone tell me how to pronounce these?! I thought I was quite good at deciphering Irish names but apparently not!

I know a Labhaoise and an Eimear. Eimear lives in Belfast so no problem. Labhaoise otoh has lived all over the world and her name is obviously a problem for most people. She just laughs it off, though. It's certainly makes her memorable!

FlaviaAlbia · 11/11/2017 11:16

I love Líadan. Sorry, I'm placemarking for interesting names.

Sorry if it’s too common but Niamh is my absolute favourite Irish name. I would use it if I had any Irish connections!
