Never heard of Maebh before but it’s gorgeous! Would totally choose that, in my head a girl named Maebh is confident, kind hearted and brave. All things I’d like my DDs to be. It sounds so strong and capable yet soft and pretty enough to not feel masculine. Great name!

Gracie 100%!
Recognisable, pronouncable, but softer and somehow more Victorian, but more forgiving than grace ( which I always think you shouldn't name a child because every grace ive met has been anything but graceful).

Maebh or Penelope

Maebh - gorgeous Irish name. I’m from Northern Ireland and even then only knew one Maeve growing up, spelt the English way. I’d do same really - she’ll be forever spelling out her name and correcting pronunciation otherwise.

Annabel and Olivia are both lovely, Olivia has been very popular for years in the UK though, not sure if it's the same in Ireland.

Lily is pretty and so are Grace and Rose, but Gracie and Rosie are quite babyish, like a pp said. She could always go by Gracie/Rosie when little, but at least it would be good to have the more grown-up option on the birth certificate for later.

I don't like Maebh much, but since you like Rosie, what about Roisin or, like someone suggested on here the other day Roise? (I think, spelling may be wrong.) They are gorgeous Irish names. Apologies for missing off accents/fadas or whatever.

Penelope is lovely.

If you’re not in Ireland, then the alt spelling Maeve may be easier to pronounce

All really lovely names. My favourites are Penelope, Olivia and Lily. I like Penelope as there are a lot of nickname options. I’ve only seen Maebh spelt Maeve before but definitely go with your spelling. I actually really like Ashley too - very uncommon. The only one I can think of is Ashley Olsen.

Penelope Jane
Penelope Rose
Penelope Florence
Penelope Grace

I love Penelope and can’t use it myself because half the family is Spanish (the name can be shortened to Pene, which isn’t great in Spain. See also, Richard in the UK).

But @pulpi isn't Penelope Cruz Spanish?

Crap! You’re right! That’s it - Penelope is back on the list!!

True! Penelope Cruz's family nickname is Pe which sounds quite cool IMO.

Nel would be a really cute nickname for Penelope
