They're actually about the same popularity wise. Evie is at number 15 and Freya number 19. I prefer Evie. (Although my phone constantly auto corrects it to Evil...)

Both a bit meh. Popular but pretty enough. Probably prefer Evie. But I like Eve much more than either.

Evie - just because I was bullied by a freya at work for a year before I went on mat leave so the name has negative connotations

Evie seems like such a non-name to me. I don't know why. It seems too nicknamey, or simple to be a standalone name. Freya seems much more substantial.
