Meredith is the only name that dh and I both like so far.
I like the fact that it isn't too popular but am
surprised quite how far down it is on the ons list.
What are people's opinions please?

I'm not really a fan, but I can't pinpoint why.

I do however, really like Merryn.

My uncle was called Meredith.

It's an old Welch name, given to boys. Meaning Guardian of the sea. It's my husband's middle name and my son's middle name.

The American use for girls is more recent.

I have a Meredith, nn Merry - love the name (obviously) and get lots of comments about Meredith being a pretty name.

The only Meredith I know is in her 50s and a complete cow, which puts me off the name. But if you like it, go for it.
