Can't find anything to object to.

Hayels · 02/10/2017 15:30

Lovely and under used.
Makes me think of the cute kid in 3 men and a baby/little lady

lovelyjubilly · 02/10/2017 15:35

I love it. Dd1 has it as her middle name and I was slightly gutted that I then couldn't use it for dd2!

vlooby · 02/10/2017 15:43

Thumbs up. Smile

LadyKyliePonsonbyFarquhar · 02/10/2017 15:55

Sorry, but I think it’s boring and totally unimaginative.

FfionFlorist · 02/10/2017 15:56

Great name, pretty, easy to spell and pronounce and under used, what's not to like. One off my dd's middle names.

Sophronia · 02/10/2017 16:45

I really like it.

QueenJane · 02/10/2017 16:48

It's classic and timeless.

bridgetreilly · 02/10/2017 17:35

Lovely, not particularly common at the moment. Great choice.

FindTheLightSwitchDarren · 02/10/2017 17:36

Love it. Was on our list for the baby I'm currently pregnant with but we think we are having a boy.

LePimpernelScarlette · 02/10/2017 17:40

Is my daughter's middle name. I think it is elegant and timeless and much under used.

Pemba · 02/10/2017 17:44

'Boring and totally unimaginative' these days would be another Ava, Isla, Evie or Lily.

I think Mary is nice, a classic name which is due a comeback.

HelenaJustina · 02/10/2017 17:46

Lovely, classic and strong but feminine

HocusPocus648 · 02/10/2017 17:50

Don't do it. It's my middle name and I've always secrely hated it.

People use this name as another world for vagina which has ruined the name for me.

It might be classic, but if you called your DD this name, she would definitely stand out from the Lilys, Amelias, Avas etc. But I don't think her name would stand out in a good way in the opinions of her peers.

hollyisalovelyname · 02/10/2017 17:57

Lovely now as it is so rare but not if you are a seventy/ sixty something in Ireland Smile
I have Mary aunts on both sides.
There are so many of them!!!!
I love Mariel.

Bowsandbugs · 02/10/2017 17:58

I also unfortunately think of vagina as that's what my friends called theirs when we were little

MollyHuaCha · 02/10/2017 18:36

Never heard of that use for the name Mary!

Personally I love the Mary - beautiful, classic, serene, timeless. I wanted it for one of my DCs but DH said no.

Esker · 02/10/2017 22:44

I love Mary and would definitely consider it for a daughter. Although my surname ends in a rhyming 'y' sound, which puts me off as I detest rhyming names Sad

AgSiopadoireachtAris · 02/10/2017 22:50

I like it.
Boring on a 65 year old but refreshing mow

thisisafreename · 02/10/2017 22:57

Excellent choice. Far better than some of the weak as water names knocking around.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 02/10/2017 22:57

I love it, very nice !

Piffpaffpoff · 02/10/2017 23:00

I love it. My DDs middle name.

SuperBeagle · 02/10/2017 23:01

I like it, but it's far too religious for me to have ever considered using it. I wouldn't use it unless you are religious.

AJPTaylor · 02/10/2017 23:05

as long as she doesnt have a brother called Joseph you are fine

Mrswinkler · 02/10/2017 23:09

Catholic. Would avoid like the plague. (Lapsed)
