Love it!

SummerRayne17 · 28/09/2017 02:06

It’s pretty :)

Out2pasture · 28/09/2017 02:10

a song a nice funky song from the 70's or 80's right now but it's a lovely name. easy to spell and pronounce.

MrsFoxPlus4 · 28/09/2017 02:14

Love it, wouldn’t use it because I went to school with one who was a horrible person! But it’s a cute name

Topseyt · 28/09/2017 02:22

I like it.

SuperBeagle · 28/09/2017 04:58

Layla is a beautiful name.

And the song is iconic. One of the greatest rock songs ever written, and the story behind it is quite something.

Reppin · 28/09/2017 05:19

It's ok. Very very popular in the 90s but much less so now.

malfoyy · 28/09/2017 05:25

Can't hear the name without hearing that fantastic guitar riff:

Great name 😘

Runningyogabooze · 28/09/2017 05:30

Tbh it's a bit downmarket

DontbeaDickaboutit · 28/09/2017 05:31

Downmarket 😂

pinkmagic1 · 28/09/2017 05:37

It's a beautiful name and means 'night' in Arabic.

ProseccoPoppy · 28/09/2017 05:58

I have a cousin who is a Layla. It's a nice name but over the years she has got so sick of having the song sung at her. I know it's a good song with an amazing riff but it gets boring after a while! Just something to consider.

EsmesBees · 28/09/2017 06:02

I like it. Think I prefer the Leila spelling though.

GColdtimer · 28/09/2017 06:56

Downmarket? Confused

It's lovely. My friends dd is Laila and has never had the song sung at her. Not keen on leila spelling but only because I think she would get caleed Lee-la which isn't as nice.

Sophronia · 28/09/2017 07:18

Not keen, I think it’s the “lay” part. Leila looks better.

sandgrown · 28/09/2017 07:20

Leila is a much prettier spelling

Acidophilus · 28/09/2017 07:21

I have a friend who is married to an Arab so they wanted names that are common in both cultures. They have a Leila and a Miriam both of which I think are lovely.

Blossomdeary · 28/09/2017 07:22

Doesn't float my boat. Sorry.

saritah · 28/09/2017 08:26

I love it but it is a bit of a Marmite name I think (OH doesn't). Prefer the Laila spelling.

Smoliver · 28/09/2017 09:45

I like it. My friend has just had a daughter and she named her Layla.

It also makes me think of this song

divafever99 · 28/09/2017 09:49

I love it. Also might want to consider Lyla, it's my dd's middle name, love it because there's not many about!

Wheresmytaco · 28/09/2017 09:52

Tbh it's a bit downmarket

Hmm

It's a beautiful name, awesome song. Can't see any issues.

17caterpillars1mouse · 28/09/2017 11:03

It's nice enough

My cousin has a 2 year old Layla. When it was announced I remember think it was nice enough but a bit meh. Plenty love it though just not to my tastes (but then my tastes aren't alot of people's cup of tea)

user1488397844 · 28/09/2017 19:31

My girl is called Layla & she's 3.. I didn't know many when I chose it but its definitely more popular now. Also sad to hear some people think it's a bit downmarket I love it and people regularly tell me how pretty it is. Also went for the simplest spelling as I work in a hospital & have to call patients, regularly have no idea what their names are or how to say them so wanted to avoid that!

Branleuse · 28/09/2017 19:32

i like it
