Oh give over.

bridgetreilly · 07/09/2017 14:40

I'd assume that you meant to call your child Jaguar but couldn't spell it.

stopbeingadramallama · 07/09/2017 14:40

Jaguar.

Sorry, I make myself laugh😂

Whatslovegottodo · 07/09/2017 14:40

Is it a name? What culture is it from?
In English it just sounds like a misspelling of jaguar I'm afraid.

Singap0reSling · 07/09/2017 14:40

A non-English name maybe?

Hmm
upperlimit · 07/09/2017 14:40

Not a real name

BrawneLamia · 07/09/2017 14:41

I don't know, it's not a name I've heard before and it sounds like a mispronounced 'jaguar' to my ears

stopbeingadramallama · 07/09/2017 14:41

@upperlimit - youll get someone on here in a minute telling you anything can be a name, just because it's unusual people shouldn't take the piss Hmm

Skittlesss · 07/09/2017 14:43

I like it as it spells like it sounds!

I think i need a bit more information to form an opinion.

What are the origins of the name?
Is it male or female?
What does it mean?
Why do you like it?

stopbeingadramallama · 07/09/2017 14:44

Sounds like the name of a star wars character. And not one of the good ones.

TheNaze73 · 07/09/2017 14:47

There's lots of them about. There were 4 of them in my nieces class at Hogwarts

midsomermurderess · 07/09/2017 14:47

I just thing of Jagwar Ma, but wrong spelling.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 07/09/2017 14:48

Go for it!

Love it.

Skittlesss · 07/09/2017 14:50

I just thought of it. I wanted to think of a unique name. His sister will be Petl.

OP posts:
stopbeingadramallama · 07/09/2017 14:51

It's not a name.

Have you already got a Petl? I assume that's petal without the a? 😳

RubaDubMum89 · 07/09/2017 14:51

For me op it's a no. When I read it all I can hear in my head is a really really posh person saying jaguar.

If you like it though, go for it!

blueskyinmarch · 07/09/2017 14:53

That name makes no sense if it is supposed to sound like Jaguar. In Scotland we pronounce that Jag-you -are!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 07/09/2017 14:54

No, Petal is so much better with the classic spelling.

coughingbean · 07/09/2017 14:55

Ballonz?

Balonz is so 2010.

stopbeingadramallama · 07/09/2017 14:57

I thought I was going out there a bit with using an uncommon old mans name but wow.

If you live in England/ English speaking country please don't do this to your children.
