Rufus, Hugo or Laurence

I think we have finally narrowed down our boy list to Rufus, Hugo or Laurence (Laurie). Middle name will be Frederick. Please vote!

My favourite of the three is Laurence.

I've got a Laurence, he's 16 and it's been a good name - familiar but not too popular, nice nns too!

I'd pick Rufus or Hugo both great names. The only Laurence I've known was known as Loz.

all very good names (my youngest is one of the three so I am biased). Rufus is definitely becoming popular & Lawrence is my least favourite so I vote Hugo!

Laurence is my Dad's name and Frederick was his Dad's name and my DS's middle name now. Brilliant choices but I may be ever so slightly biased

DS was going through be Rufus until DP decided he'd gone off it & he ended up being Rory but Rufus is still my favourite boys name if we ever needed another one.

All lovely, Lawrence somehow feels like a mouthful to say and will get shortened - I guess most names do though.

Seems like people are fairly evenly split between Laurence and Rufus. Which is just as well because DH has just told me Hugo is no longer in the running . DD was going to be Laurence if a boy but DH has slightly gone off it and prefers Rufus, whereas I'm the opposite. Any more opinions, keep 'em coming!

Sorry but I absolutely detest the name Rufus! In certain parts of the uk this would stick out like a sore thumb and would be ridiculed.
